For those of you that don't get it when your friends make jokes about H2G2, this is an easy way to get the idea. I warn you that once you get a taste you will be hooked. It is a tragedy that Adams didn't live to see the iPad. If Steve Jobs had hired Adams to design the iPad we would have the perfect device.

I've had this for about a week... introduced my kids to it, and now, I'm about to starting my THIRD listen!

The background info is also very fun!

"Dramatised" is an Understatement!

My number one concern with the was the quality of the recording. It was frustrating because the sound effects would be so loud but the actual talking would be very quiet. It made the whole story very hard to listen to and really took away from the quality of the story. There were also regular endings to the episodes so you'd have to fast forward through those sections. I would only recommend listening to this version if you are already a true fan of the book.

Just simply loved this entire series of the Hitchhiker's Guide, being the original BBC radio series. Highly recommended!

DON'T PANIC!

A fantastic adaptation of one of the most unique pieces of fiction I've come across, and a special treat for those of us who were introduced to the imagination of Douglas Adams through the BBC Television series, since many of the same actors are found here as well.

hitchhiker as good as the hype

Great story and I loved that it was voiced by different actors...The only negative, the music and sound effects were much louder than the actors.

Best since flying circus

This radio program is the best since flying circus. I could not stop listening to is and can't wait to start Secondary Phase.

Excellent Performance

I have always loved this book series, the movie, the radio broadcasts and all. Listening to it dramatized is just pure genius and an amazing listen! An absolute MUST LISTEN if you know anything of this series!!!
