A solid Viking fantasy

This is a solid Viking fantasy that held my attention throughout. I will continue with the next in the series.

A must read!

Excellent story and narrator. Cannot recommend this enough! The research required to write this story must have been immense.

Awesome Story

Great viking story! I highly recommend this story, there is plenty of action and the plot moves along. A unique form of progression that I have never seen before but greatly enjoyed.

Outstanding

Another excellent story from Phil. And the narration was phenomenal. I enjoyed this fast paced and engaging epic. I look forward to the next installment in Skadi’s saga. The Norse mythology was well done.

The beginnings of another phenomenal series

Similar to Phil's other work, this book pulled me in quickly and wouldn't let go. Skadi is the hero we need. Very much looking forward to the continuation of this series.

This was whelming. I was whelmed.

I loved Tucker’s Immortal Great Souls and plowed through them. I thought i would try this. I think maybe this book doesnt convert well to audio.

It was really hard distinguish names, and the narrator doesnt have a great range (unlike the masterful Nick Podehl in IGS) so everyone kind of sounds the same.

Also, the story is very linear, We arent worried about conflict with other people characters known or unknown goals. Bad guy? Beat it up.

I wont be listening to the rest of this series, but i cant wait for the rest of IGS.

This had the feel of a female warrior viking that wants to be a war maiden while the men in power just want her to shut up and mind the men. She has to work twice as hard, and she still can't trust the men's words. Lots of action and thrills. It's a fantasy with giants, gods, trolls, etc. I am frail and old. I was frail when I was young, too, but while reading this, I wanted to be so strong to help her! Lol. I will try to follow this series.
