One of her best for sure

I feel like you can never go wrong with a Lauren Blakely story when you need all the feel good rom com vibes, and this book had a little bit of everything. Longing, tension, laughs and spice, with amazing performances from Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke

I have wanted to get Miles & Leighton's story for so long now. We have seen Miles pining away forever now, and I was dying to know the story there. I love everything from the way they first meet to geocaching lockets. These two have palpable chemistry and fit so wonderfully. I adore how Miles is so attentive to her and cares about her. He is very swoony with her yet also spicy when he wants to. I really enjoyed Leighton, and I found her experience with hearing loss very interesting and enjoyed that rep a lot. Their story was such a great time!

The longing... Dear God the longing this book makes you feel is incredible! Reading and listening to this story will make you understand what it feels like to be edged in the best possible way!
Leighton and MIles drove me crazy, in the absolute best way possible.

Jason Clarke is next level with the seduction his voice brings to the character of MIles. Is there anything more worthy or adorable than a man who wants to just curl up with you on the couch and ask you how your day was and that’s all he looks forward to or wants from you… I think not… This book delivers such a man.

Samantha Brentmor rises to the challenge {and meets it} that Clarke throws down.(hello chapter 32). They are the perfect pairing to display the long ,drawn out seduction of these two star crossed and forbidden lovers.

As a dedicated reader and avid Listener of Lauren's novels, "The Girlfriend Zone" gives a fresh take on the forbidden romance trope. With each challenge that the characters face, Blakely weaves a new path for them to surmount the obstacle they face. This story gives you an update on previous players {no pun intended} in the main character's orbit and crafts a timeline of their story around the friend group.

Blakely crafts a sentence makes you feel like you’re immersed in the room or simply walking down the street with the characters… It’s so effortless it makes you feel like not only do you know exactly what the characters are immersed in but it’s such an easy read when the words or anything.

Lauren writes novels like a mini series \ sitcom and when the day comes that Netflix comes calling, I want to direct the series!!!

Lauren knocked this one into the goal! I just swooned over Miles the entire time! What a dream! The story, the passion, the slow burn. I could not turn this off.

All about timing

He is so respectful to her and respects his boundaries unlike others before him. They are the cutest together and the love that they have for one another is perfection!

Miles falls first

The duet narration by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor really brought Miles and Leighton to life. The first time Miles saw Leighton he told his grandmother that she was his future wife. He didn't know that Leighton was the daughter of his hockey coach. Leighton had an attraction to Miles, too. When Miles found out that Leighton had a hearing impairment, he didn't hesitate to make sure he knew how to help her when she needed it. Leighton is a photographer and ends up being the hockey team's photographer and really puts her on the Do Not have a relationship with. But Leighton and Miles can't help their attraction. There are times I laughed and times I cried but Leighton and Miles were perfect for each other. I liked that Lauren Blakely researched and got the help from professionals about the hearing loss that Leighton had. It really made the story more real.

Miles & Leighton!

Miles. Do I need to say more? Miles and Leighton were thrown together by the matchmaker. Ok, not really a matchmaker, but Miles's grandmother, Birdie paired them up when Leighton needed some help with work. And from there, these two had a chemistry. But the catch to it all, and to their surprise, Leighton's dad is Miles's coach. Now they know they can't continue a relationship. Right? Friends will work. And the story goes Now it's not your typical story, it's packed with spice and sneaking around, but Lauren Blakely adds her own flare and it's emotional. Miles is a man that is easy to love, and his devotion and attention to details is impeccable. Leighton is driven, and a bit uneasy when it comes to a serious relationship. Their connection is easy to feel and I was routing for them the whole time. And I absolutely loved Birdie and the dogs!

Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke bring this gem alive. Brentmoor gives voice to Leighton, and I loved how she is super passionate yet hesitant. She pulls off the new adult feeling that Leighton has and lets her grow through the story. Clarke is Miles, and he delves into his heart. Easy to hear the love come through, he made Miles incredibly lovable. I always enjoy these two when they team up and once again my heart was happy.

Sweet and spicy story. The characters are a delight and their story adorabley unique.

Duet narration is excellent and brings the story to life.

Completely Obsessed with Miles & Leighton!

I always think that the previous Lauren Blakely couple can’t be beat, & she proves me wrong time & time again! I AM OBSESSED with Leighton & Miles!! Like, stayed up til 2am to finish reading/listening because I couldn’t stop, obsessed!

This audio is pure perfection with Jason Clark & Samantha Brentmoor (two of my faves!) giving a fantastic duet performance! They completely embodied Miles & Leighton, bringing to life their insane chemistry, & I couldn’t imagine anyone but them voicing these characters! It is SO GOOD!

This one may seriously be my new favorite in this series. Miles is enraptured with Leighton from page 1, & the intense chemistry these two have from the jump is delish!! Throw in a little matchmaking grandmother (Birdie must be protected at all cost!!), a series of events that brings them together for that first date, & then a realization of epic UH OH proportions to set the stage for their journey to each other.

Since Leighton is Miles’s coaches daughter (see the UH OH previously mentioned lol), they stop things before they can really get going, but they keep being brought back into one another’s orbits. The pull they have to one another is intense, & they both are pining for the other even when they know they shouldn’t.

I love a good friends to lovers/hidden/sneaky romance, & this definitely delivered! As I said, their chemistry is insane & Miles gives Leighton just what she needs (🥵)! They are both filthy & absolutely delish!!! I was sweating 😮‍💨

I could keep going, but I’ll stop for now lol!! If you haven’t already caught on, I LOVE THIS ONE! LOVE LOVE LOVE, & you should absolutely add it to your TBR!
