About this listen

I'm an illusionist, not a psychic.

Going on TV is supposed to advance my career, but things go wrong.

Like vampires and zombies kind of wrong.

My name is Sasha Urban, and this is how I learned what I am.

Sooo Good

I didn't see it coming 😉 I was so caught up in this book it was over before I knew it. 8 hours flew by. It took me a while to recognize her day dreams. I was so glad that she was able to learn from them in real time . I sure hope that she ends up with Nero. This book was an unexpected surprise. I'm glad I finally listened to it. Emily Durante was awesome. Good choice in narrator.

Enjoyable escape

Emily Durante brings "Sasha" into a credible character in this introduction to the world written by Dima Zales and Anna Zaires. Entertaining light story with plenty of excitement and complicated adventure.

Paranormal

This is a little twist on the paranormal. A girl whom thinks she completely human loved her "tricks" and has dreams of one day being a magician on TV. But her life takes an unexpected turn after a TV appearance. The author does an excellent job about keeping the mystery of the paranormal world and revealing bits as the heroine discovers them. The narrative is excellent!

Starts slow but a worthy series in the end!

When I listened to this book, I thought it was super interesting but was frustrated with Sasha and her over-thinking and denial! After listening to the whole series, I appreciate how it all turned out and how much her character grows. It is NOT a steamroller story. Overall, the series was totally worth the frustrations of book 1 and 2 and it gets so much better.

P.s if you're looking for a classic romance, you can go ahead and adjust your expectations now. There is a romance arc but it's not the main thing, this is more a paranormal action suspense.

I will listen to book 2

I enjoyed this book, it was a little hard to get into at first and it was a little confusing but by the end things started to make more sense. I will most likely listen to book 2

Great Read

I am a Male, but I still enjoy stories with a female protagonist who is strong and has a sense of humor. I loved this book and have already purchased the next two. I know I won't be disappointed.

I love this

Well written, well performed, and exciting. I love the characters and their personalities are great. I am intrigued by the mystery presented in Sasha and how she was found as toddler and whom her parents are. I cannot wait to find out more.

Engaging storyline, execution felt choppy

Engaging story , kept on getting knocked out of the story by the way the chapters are done - felt much too choppy.
