Too much "sonic" sound effects

Monotone voice attempting to portray a "sotto voce" dramatic effect, with excessive, constant sonic sound effects intruding just a bit too much into the foreground, impeding my ability to distinguish the voice. And too much focus on verbal "credits" and promotion at the end. I listen to multiple pieces of audio at night, or in the car, or on the plane, and I want a minimum of fanfare coming in and going out.
