To much repetition

It took me a bit to get going I feel like to much whining. I liked parts of the story but seemed liked too much of the same inner monologue that just seemed to ramble on…

Repeated monologues of unending pining after MML

The storyline and world building was great in book 1, then the story became obsessed with repeated monologues of the MFL obsessing over the MML. There'd be a sentence or two to progress the story, then go back to paragraphs of soppy moping and pining. The actual story progression became so stillted that you could actually miss when the monologues paused for the plot, only to go back into the internal monologue. The monologues also repeat the same self pity of romantic inadequacy so that the reader just completly zones out for whole sections. Very exasperating.

Riveting!

This is the third in The Goldenchild Prophesy series and to say I am hooked is an understatement. I spent the last week listening while on two airplanes, while driving, while doing chores, and any other time I could sneak in a few moments.

It's that good.

As with the previous books, The Cornish Princess and the Queen's Huntsman, the narrator is wonderful. She makes it so easy to get fully immersed in the story.

This is a well-crafted tale with a very strong female lead. I highly recommend the entire series and am looking forward to the next installment!

YA Angst

The constant repetition drove me crazy. It should have been a short story based on the small amount of new storyline. I will skip the final book.

And so it continues...

Helping Gwendolyn, Málik Danann reveals who he really is –a Prince and that he truly is in love with Gwendolyn but tries hard not to reveal that. Even with Malik by Gwendolyn is not assured victory in gaining back her father’s kingdom as many have taken side with Prince Loc. But one thing can help her and The Tuatha'an Sword of Ligh she must retrieve from the Fae realm and the dark creatures she must encounter on her way to the Fae realm Even with Malik by her side things are not easy for either of them. Like the previous books, this one has you waiting for the next book and the narrator has done a fabulous job in the telling!
