About this listen
Tresibra is falling and the five clans have only one more chance to bring balance to the world before the final time of renewal is upon them and the cold hammer of Tresibra makes its last stance against the Crown Gall and Gummosis. Dive deep into the unique lore of a distant world that is held together by the 5 similar races of Tresibra's first people as they once again put aside their differences to join in a battle against an evil that threatens their very existence. Enter a living world filled with grit and emotion.
This book draws on the pain and emotion of loss from the five tribes and a father fighting for revenge at the loss of his daughter. You'll draw close to Soren as he struggles with finding purpose in a world that has taken everything from him. You'll follow Beckett in his growth as a young warrior preparing for what he sees as a suicide mission to save a world he really hasn't been able to yet experience.
The vivid and realist world or Tresibra will pull you in and keep you engaged. This story is one for the ages that draws on the current age of man outside the world of Tresibra. The five clans are based on the author's five brothers and each of their unique characteristics, this brings real depth to each of the clans and their warriors. You'll feel the author's personal pain, absolutely uncontrolled rage, guilt, hope, love and in the end sacrifice as he tells a personal story through an epic journey that involves his five brothers at his side throughout.
This book became an outlet to pour in the strength of family, the pain of loss and a reason to give everything when it seems there is nothing left. You never know what you're capable of when family is on the line or how much strength you carry within until you're pushed use it. The battle cry of the five clans' heroes is raging, can you hear it? Will you join Soren, Keth, Drutt, Beckett and Zain on their epic journey?

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

i really liked the flow.
The writer did a amazing job of picking out the best voice for the story. The story flowed great and right when you thought it was slowing down the voice changed and something new happens. I cant wait for the next story.

A Surprising Gem
I received a copy of this book to review. So, I decided not to read the description of the book until after I had finished - just to help me be more objective. I am an audiobook person and have a large library and was surprised how engaged I became in the story. It was a good read and experience - combination of a committed writer and an excellent narrator. Perhaps a bit confusing at first trying to understand the world being built on the trees and clans but as the story progressed I began wondering about the five clans relationships and was it a metaphor for something else? (Not really a spoiler alert but yes, it kinda is!)
It was compelling and I listened to it all the way through and forced myself not to skip to the last chapter to see how it ended. I often go to the end of a book if I am totally involved and then go back to pick up all of the action. I am definitely interested in the next book! My only issue is that it is a rather short book for me. Usually I select books that are at least 12 hours or more because I listen a lot. I don't know if this is a first book for Mr. Walters but I hope he continues with John Hann as his narrator. In any case I'd like to hear more!

Not what I was expecting, in a good way!
I’ve never heard of the author and picked the book based only on the cover art but WOW I was blown away. I searched the author and haven’t seen any of his other works, I’m hoping there’s a sequel!

Vivid journey
I enjoyed the richness of the foundation to the story. The separation and uniqueness of every tribe was fascinating and made it easy to follow. The narration of the book was masterful!

Solid enough story
It wasn't really great, but it was enjoyable. The world-building needs a lot more work, but the actual story itself was fine.
