About this listen

Laura Ingalls Wilder is beginning life with her new husband, Almanzo, in their own little house. Laura is a young pioneer wife now and must work hard with Almanzo, farming the land around their home on the South Dakota prairie. Soon their baby daughter, Rose, is born, and the young family must face the hardships and triumphs encountered by so many American pioneers.

And so Laura Ingalls Wilder's adventure as a little pioneer girl ends, and her new life as a pioneer wife and mother begins. The nine Little House books have been cherished by generations of readers and listeners as both a unique glimpse into America's frontier past and a heartwarming, unforgettable story.

I would totally recommend this for a young kids. It’s a great series. I love the way it’s written, and the narrator is awesome. I also love who played Pa’s fiddle in the last book.

This book is a bit darker than the other books in the series but life isn't always rainbows. This is my favorite of the series. It seems to reflect the gritty reality of Laura and Manly's tribulations.

Always good

This book was not as engaging as the others in the series. It ended on a sad note, which was a disappointment after such a wonderful, uplifting series.

Slightly different style of writing, in this book as Laura did it by herself, without the assistance of Rose, as she had done in her earlier books. 👩‍🌾 🤰 (🤰 👼) 💨 🌡 🌀 🔥 📝📝📝📝📝📝📝📝 📑 💵 📑 💵 📑 💵 🎻
