Before they were the Boxcar Children, Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden lived with their parents on Fair Meadow Farm.
Although times are hard, the Aldens are happy - “the best family of all,” Mama likes to say. One day, a blizzard hits the countryside, and a traveling family needs shelter. The Aldens take them in, and the strangers soon become friends. But things never stay the same at the farm, and the spring and summer bring events that will forever change their lives.

That is heartbreaking how they just run away at the end of the story ends. Good thing I have the book one the other half otherwise I would die in suspense. 😭😭😭😭!!!!!!!

Good performance and overall okay but one thing.
I think it’s a good book, but it’s just that all the original books are so different. It’s not bad but you know. People are very different well there young. Besides that I love how creative the boxcar children are. They’ll always have a special place in my heart. Oh, one more thing, there’s a sad ending but still

The story is very soothing to listen to. The narrator talks voice perfect. I deffenetily recomend reading the story especially if you are in to the Boxcar Children series!!😊😊

It was good! I have almost all the books, and I was always wondering what happened to the Alden children before they became "The Boxcar Children"! I hope that lots of people listen to this audio book!!!

Kept the kids quiet during a stormy road trip
I am so glad that I had this during my most recent road trip. The weather was horrendous and the kids were hyped up. The best part, my oldest is now reading the series.
