About this listen
Faeolyn, Evelyn, Az'ria, and Nadyanelle are not sisters. They are not even sisters of the same race! Faeolyn is a mischievous angel who wants nothing more than to wield a sword. Gentle Evelyn is part elf, part dryad and given her lineage, is totally one with the trees. Az'ria is a fiery drakonian, a descendant of the dragons, with a past full of betrayal and captivity and as a result, will only use her claws and fangs to get her point across. Finally, sweet Nadyanelle is mysteriously part mermaid, a halfling yet to be encountered, who loves to sing and weave flowers. They don't even have anything in common!
But suddenly, after escaping a band of mercenaries that destroyed their refuge and meeting a mystic dragon during their search for safety, they become sisters of the most important cause ever to come into existence: the salvation of the world.
They are the prophesized Elements, the chosen beings empowered with the ability to wield the elements of earth, water, air, and fire. Accompanied by a roughened warrior that acts as their weapons teacher, a Seeress as their guide, an escort of knights, and a band of thieves called the Spriggans, the four young women must conquer the demons of their past to not only bring the disheartened people of Earthia together, but battle a malevolent queen who threatens the delicate balance between good and evil and will stop at nothing in her quest for dominion.
But first things first, they will slap the humans senseless, until they change their foolish belief that women can't fight!

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Amazing!
Would you consider the audio edition of The Dragon's Prophecy to be better than the print version?
The book is already great but hearing it in digital form was great. I really enjoyed the book and couldn't get past the way it ended. I am looking forward to hearing book 2 when it comes out and I hope Afton will be the same narrator. Her voice is just lovely.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved Nadyanelle. I loved Brock and Sam and their relationship but I love how the narrator made it sound alive.
What does Afton Laidy Zabala-Jordan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It's engaging, professional, there are characteristics that come alive when you hear an audio vs just reading it to yourself.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It was the scene that sam recalled about her mother.
Any additional comments?
I AM IN LOVE WITH AFTON!

You could hear the emotion in her pleasant voice
What made the experience of listening to The Dragon's Prophecy the most enjoyable?
I have other books by this narrator and they have all have been different so I wanted to listen to something longer to see where this new narrator was in this industry. As far as I can tell this was her first narration of over 8 hours and that is a steep climb. Researching all of her titles done there is a timeline of one month where all of the titles were released and that being the case it makes think that her deadline for this book was about a month long. Being that there is so much audio, and i'm sure the production takes a long time to edit and whatnot, I found this book to be a great caliber of work to be done in such a short amount of time.
This title was told with grand emotion, you can hear her breaths although she tried to hide it, getting caught in the emotions and the drama. Her voice quivers at the right times and it is strong at others with the force that is supposed to be shown.
I agree with the other reviewer and found that the one star review was unacceptably low. Even if you took hours and strained yourself to imagine words that are said incorrectly or not pronounced right as the reviewer said, everyone comes from different places of the world and looking into this narrator, from the Dominican Republic and for English not to be her first language it's quite amazing how well she portrays this language.
I would not say that I heard any difficulty in pronunciation or dictation. I'm sure that she read this book to her children and they must have been happy because she narrates well.
I enjoyed it, and her voice was pleasant.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favourite character was Azria. (Sorry if that's misspelled). I thought that she developed well into a young girl whom at the beginning was very standoffish and on alert.
Which character – as performed by Afton Laidy Zabala-Jordan – was your favorite?
I freakin loved Faeolyn! She was so strong and then again the prologue was so full of emotion. It was a def seller!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I almost cried in the battle when I thought there were going to be a death and then I was extremely happy when Nadyanelles (Again, Sorry if that's misspelled).water powers healed everyone.
Any additional comments?
This is def worth adding to your collection. I can tell this narrator is striving to climb to the top, and I think that within a few years we will see how she grows as a dedicated narrator, regardless of her starting books, you can tell that each book has gotten better and better with sound, dictation, emotion, and quality. She seems to be researching and learning this genre pretty rapidly.

I Enjoyed listening and was shocked to see that there was a review written that was untrue
I saw another review on Audible for this title that was not very realistic to the actual performance or narrator. The reviews said that the words were not articulated or pronounced correctly when in fact I heard many of the words were performed as if practiced from Google. Words were often very articulated and pronounced with perfection and annunciation. Some of the pace of chapters were slower then others but overall it sounded well. For a title of this length and certain deadlines to be met I know that this type of work can be very daunting and demanding.
Also I do know that if the Rights holder of the title did not like the audio they would have told the narrator that changes were to be made of some sorts.
I do recommend this title to other audible listeners because I really did enjoy it.

Narrator problems
Would you try another book from Isabela Powers and/or Afton Laidy Zabala-Jordan?
I will not purchase a book again read by Zabala-Jordan. I keep getting caught up in the mispronounced words. Every time I heard one I had to stop and think about what the word should have been. The story is ok and I might purchase another book from the author. I will never purchase one with this narrator.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I don't have a favorite character. I'm having trouble finishing this book.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Afton Laidy Zabala-Jordan?
Almost anyone else.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.

I tried to listen, but...
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Not much could have made this a 4-5 star book.
Slow book and narrator need work on pronunciation.
Has The Dragon's Prophecy turned you off from other books in this genre?
Nope, I love similar books in the genre
What didn’t you like about Afton Laidy Zabala-Jordan’s performance?
Was this her first??
Need work on pronunciation and diction.
More connection to the story needed.
What character would you cut from The Dragon's Prophecy?
None

Good story, bad narration
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The narrator mispronounce too many word and it distracted from the story. I had a hard time finishing it. It would have been better if I read it instead of listening to it.
