About this listen

Meet the daughters of King Arthur's descendant, Merlin Pendragon:

Averil: She may be the lord's eldest - and illegitimate-daughter, but Averil knows her dazzling beauty can buy her what she wants most: marriage to a great and powerful lord. But fate has other plans in the rugged form of Rhys FitzHugh. Thinking her the sole heiress, the penniless bailiff kidnaps the beauty. Now, to salvage his honor, he must marry the openly hostile Averil and accept his greatest challenge - winning her love, her loyalty, and her trust....

Maia: As the legitimate heiress with a hefty dowry, Maia can have any man she chooses, namely Emrys Llyn, a descendant of Lancelot and the Lady of the Lake. But strange, dangerous rumors surround the handsome Emrys. Can her unwavering love prove his innocence...or will Maia suffer the same fate as Emrys' previous wives?

Junia: As charming as she is irrepressible, Junia is the lord's youngest daughter. Junia is content to roam the countryside, where she can be alone with Richard de Bohun, who she meets and loves in secret. But he is the son of her father's sworn enemy, and loving him may cost more than she could ever imagine...

Loved it.

Like all of her books, it was well worth reading. I love happy endings. I like the tie in King Arthur.

Three daughters Three stories!

I did enjoy listening to the three tales about how the three daughters fell in love and were married. Mrs.Small tells great stories and this installment was well worth a credit. I listened to the whole book in about a day. The Narrative was really well done

All is well that ends well.

As usual, Bertrice Small does not disappoint. Her Arthurian tale has all the ingredients of a myth retold and carried forward several generations to lend credence to the longevity of King Arthur’s story. And what a nice story it is. The King’s descendants, the three daughters of the latest Pendragon, find true and eternal love among the remnants of a 100 year old feud, a bride stealing and the infidelity of Sir Gawain and the faerie folk.
And the ending is a true fairy tale.

magic but not a shifter story

I picked this story thinking it was a historical romance with dragon shifters. it wasn't but I still enjoyed it. it is kind of like a book series condensed into a single book. it tells the story of a Marsh Lord Pendragon's (latest in king Aurthers line) 3 daughters and their HEA. there's a small bit of magic here and there but it's mostly a historical romance with little to no politics.

hmmm

Each story could have been a stand alone book. Good listen over all. They felt rushed at the end....
