Surprise ending!

Of the four books in the series, I liked this one best. More twists and harder to put down.

The Doctor……..

The doctors wife was a gilted woman that resorted to drastic measures to make her husband and mistress pay for their affair.
The doctors widow was a woman who made her new boyfriend pay for knowing too much and not stopping till he got the full confession.
The doctors mistress blamed everything on the wife for most of the book till the end. She didn’t accept her responsibility in the whole thing.

The jacket for the story didn’t match the story itself.


This was an amazing series that hooked me. I guess in the end it was fitting how it would end. It made me sad in a way that it ended the way it did. Though even though the reasons were justified Alice and Evelyn were not completely innocent themselves. But I guess the domino effect is how it went. It started with an affair that blew up in a total of 7 people dying as a result. Had Fern just chosen a divorce as the answer it all could have been prevented. Regardless worth the listen.

Listened to entire series in a week….

I started off with book one being a little let down by how I predicted several of the twists and turns but by the end of this book I was very happy that I kept going. Of course it was over the top and unbelievable. I also didn’t get very invested in any particular character but even with all that said I REALLY ENJOYED THE ENTIRE SERIES!

If you’re looking for something that is easy to follow and has twists and turns you sometimes see coming but several times don’t as well as a really nice ending I recommend this series.

My biggest complaint is I wish I had waited until I was on a long road trip to listen to the series. It would have been a great way to pass all those miles.

Pretty nice wrap up of the series

I had to listen to the last of the series, but I thought it was just okay. A lot of reminding us of previous stuff which I get, but not too exciting. It did have some interesting twists too. Overall it was worth listening to the wrap up I think.

Excellent

I read the entire series. Each book made me excited to know that there was another to follow. Now - about The Doctor's Child. This was the best as so many loose ends are tied up. Loved the suspense. Hated to stop listening.

Good wrap up to series…HOWEVER

I’ll keep this short. This was a very good series. I loved the recap of what’s happened in this particular book. The down side is that it’s ALLLLLL they talked about in this book is the recap. The now-day scenes were pretty good but for such an exciting series, the end was anti-climactic. Nevertheless, this is a really good author who knows how to tell a story.

Disappointing compared to the others

I feel like half the story was spent recapping the other books. This one was slow and not as good as the others

Conclusion

This was a nice conclusion to a series. Author gave all the characters still alive a nice ending.

Fabulous

A well told gripping story that leaves you wanting more. Wonderful performances by the readers.
