Short but Steamy

I didn’t realize how short this book was until the end, but it was great. The narration was fantastic and I’m looking forward to the next book.

Yummy story

First time reading this author, and I am already downloading the next book in the series. I am looking forward to the next book that centers around the bodyguard in this story. The storyline is pretty good, It is a mafia romance, and the FMC does get slapped and punched a few times, but not by the MMC. He actually has no problem breaking bones to keep her from being hurt again. No cheating. He is very respectful, though he did not want the marriage to begin with. The only thing I can say I wish had happened is the narrators to have accents. The MMC is from Brooklyn, and the FMC is Irish. The narrators were pleasant to listen to, but the story would have been more enhanced if they could have used a Brooklyn and Irish accents. Still did not take away from the story to point I didn't want to finish it. I am onto the next story which was introduced at the end of this one story.

Captivating!

This is the first book in the Brooklyn Kings Series. Jacob and Brenna's story is well written, and captivating. Jacob, son of the head of the Italian syndicate, is enigmatic, ruthless, and protective. Brenna, granddaughter of the Irish mob’s leader, is beautiful, strong, smart, and brave. They are both interesting characters. The storyline is intricate, and enthralling. I liked the twists and turns in the story. This is an excellent Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance. I enjoyed it. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did an excellent job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to The Enemy in My Bed, the next book in the series. If you like Mafia Romance, this series is for you. #TheFlock

mafia romance

I enjoyed lIstening to this mafia romance story. the relationship between Brenna and Jacob developed throughout this story. Brenna was shy, quiet, shielded ,granddaughter of the Irish mob. she had a fire underneath, that made her become, the strong woman she needed to be.
Jacob, strong, dominant was hiding a secret that haunted him. He accepted the arranged marriage, as his duty to his family.
Eva Caine and Walker Williams narration is very good.

Family, betrayal, revenge, love

This was an amazing job with narrators. I loved listening to it. It had suspense, family ties, revenge, love, angst. Held my attention from beginning to end.

New fan! Loved this.

The MC’s have strong chemistry (it didn’t feel forced or rushed). I also appreciate the MC not being an asshole or worse, he’s a decent guy and I feel like thats less common in forced marriage/mafia genre. I was intrigued by support characters as well.

I like the narrators, I think they did a good job. Accents could have been better, but it didn’t knock points off the story for me. The story kept me engaged and I will read/listen to more from this author. They now have a new fan! I also appreciate the shorter length, making it an easy listen.

There were some minor annoyances. I just don’t understand why a naive virgin female character is so often praised and used. That aside, I liked her. I just rolled my eyes a little at the virgin mentions and naive momenta.

That aside, still a big fan! I’m glad I found this book. Off to the next one!

Just getting started!

This was a great introduction to this world of the Brooklyn Kings ☺️ Jacob and Brenna are ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 and I'm just a little disappointed that the story ended so quickly when it felt like it was just starting. I would have loved to see more of their relationship. I love how right from the start Jacob was an overprotective, broody Alpha, and I LOVE how Brenna doesn't back down. They had great chemistry and Eva and Walker performed them perfectly! I hope we get more of their story in the upcoming books because I need more 💜

The Devil I Don’t Know

First book📚🎧from this author and it was pretty good. It has some triggers & it’s angsty but it does end with a HEA. The narration was good both narrators are new to me and I was pleasantly surprised. Is it worth a credit? If you’re okay with some triggers then it’s a yes!
