Short but Steamy

I didn’t realize how short this book was until the end, but it was great. The narration was fantastic and I’m looking forward to the next book.

Captivating!

This is the first book in the Brooklyn Kings Series. Jacob and Brenna's story is well written, and captivating. Jacob, son of the head of the Italian syndicate, is enigmatic, ruthless, and protective. Brenna, granddaughter of the Irish mob’s leader, is beautiful, strong, smart, and brave. They are both interesting characters. The storyline is intricate, and enthralling. I liked the twists and turns in the story. This is an excellent Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance. I enjoyed it. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did an excellent job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to The Enemy in My Bed, the next book in the series. If you like Mafia Romance, this series is for you. #TheFlock

would've liked an epilogue regarding the future of Brenna & Jacob, and if they had any kids?

Yummy story

First time reading this author, and I am already downloading the next book in the series. I am looking forward to the next book that centers around the bodyguard in this story. The storyline is pretty good, It is a mafia romance, and the FMC does get slapped and punched a few times, but not by the MMC. He actually has no problem breaking bones to keep her from being hurt again. No cheating. He is very respectful, though he did not want the marriage to begin with. The only thing I can say I wish had happened is the narrators to have accents. The MMC is from Brooklyn, and the FMC is Irish. The narrators were pleasant to listen to, but the story would have been more enhanced if they could have used a Brooklyn and Irish accents. Still did not take away from the story to point I didn't want to finish it. I am onto the next story which was introduced at the end of this one story.

Excellent Audiobook

I absolutely love the books LK Shaw writes! She writes well with great storylines and excellent characters. I was so happy to be traveling so I didn't have many interruptions when listening to this! I started this series in the middle. I loved it so much that I began reading the books I missed. Listening to it just brought more to the story. My heart squeezed throughout this book. Jacob and Brenna are favorite characters. I'm so invested in the characters. They are like family.

Eva Caine and Walker Williams are EXCELLENT narrators. I totally zoned out and was able to live in the story. Their performances were perfection. Love their voices.

The Devil I Don’t Know

This is the first book in the Brooklyn Kings series. I think all books will be stand-alone books. This is a Mafia romance. Jacob is the estranged son of the Italian Mafia. He is called to come take is spot as the head due to his father’s health. Brenna is the granddaughter of the Irish Mafia. They are to have an arranged marriage. I really enjoyed this book. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did a phenomenal job narrating this book.

Crazy Awesome Good

The story was way better than I anticipated. The narrators were so good. Emilio (aka Jacob) and Brenna meet on the day they get married as part of a union to bring the Irish and Italian mafia families together for added manpower against the Russians. And Jacob is the new King of the family as his father only has a few months to live. Don’t miss the chance to see how Brenna is stronger than expected and the ways she surprises people. And how the two of them take on the world.

LOVE THIS!

OM Gosh did I enjoy this!! This has three of my favorite things! Romantic Suspense, Arranged mafia marriage and Walker Williams narrating! This story is one for the books! It easily drew me in, then kept me intruiged and later I was surprised and shocked (there were many Oh my gosh moments!).

This is one that WILL be going on my favorites list! The character building is wonderful and there is a lead in to the next book in the series!! I did listen to this on audio. Walker Williams and Eva Caine do a great job as narrators. Walker W. holds a special place in my heart as I love listening to his voice.

Oo i loved this one! The blurb got me interested and i’m so glad i read it because i loved how the story turned out. Definitely recommend!
