Acerca de esta escucha
The Aldens are helping save an old library that's about to be torn down. If they fix it up, it might be given landmark status! But after all their hard work, it's very clear someone is trying to destroy the library. But who?

Would you listen to The Deserted Library Mystery again? Why?
This book had one significantly frightening part towards the end. I would not recommend this for younger listeners. The style differs greatly from the first 19 books written by the original author. To be specific one of the characters is under direct physical threat from the antagonist. This caught us off-guard as it is not the usual style of these books.Frightening

What would have made The Deserted Library Mystery better?
The plot has a stranger going into the kids house, and later putting a bag over one of the girls heads to kidnap/assault her. Not a good book for young kids. What could Gertrude Chandler Warner have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Maybe it was okay for its time, but unlike some of the other boxcar mysterious there is a "mean stranger" who stalks, invades, and assults the kids.Did Tim Gregory do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The characters were differentiated, but the falsetto for Bennie is very unpleasant to listen to.If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Deserted Library Mystery?
I would have cut the assault scene.Any additional comments?
Don't get this to entertain your little kids on a road tripVery Scary for kids
