Quick and Quirky

This is a really fast listen. It's light and entertaining completely 100% over the top and unbelievable but just go with it and enjoy the tale. Narration was done well and made it that much more enjoyable to listen. Great for your commute.

Fun, Hilarious, Sweet, and Entertaining!

This is the second book in the Life in Chatswain City Series, a Romantic Comedy. Abby and Lucas's story is so fun, sweet, entertaining, and captivating. Abby is a wonderful character, kind, talkative, and feisty. Lucas is handsome, enigmatic, and supportive. Their slow burn romance is engaging. I liked the humor, and the unexpected twists and turns in the story. Some scenes are hilarious! The friendship in this story is amazing. I love this series. Excellent narration from Michelle Croll. This audiobook is very pleasant to listen to. Definitely recommend it! Looking forward to listening to Blur the Lines, the next book in the series. #StoryOrigin

Mayhem and madness!

Abby is a walking timebomb or an accident waiting to happen. From the day she was born, trouble has followed her and today is no exception. Her boyfriend, Mark, broke up with her over the phone and she's out of work with no idea what she wants to do. As if that weren't bad enough, the doorbell rings and she's greeted by Lucas, a gorgeous cupcake delivery man with a box of cupcakes and a marriage proposal written on the accompanying note! Who would do that? Now she's had it and she kidnaps the van with Lucas inside because she's fed up with lying liars who lie! And the mayhem and madness commence. There are so many underlying plotlines that fit together seamlessly, and it appears that nobody is who they say they are, or at least they've stretched the truth. Lucas is undercover and in charge of bringing in a dangerous criminal and, of course, his takedown doesn't come easily. I enjoyed this crazy story so much that I went back to listen to it again.
Michelle Croll did a great job with the narration. She was able to keep all the characters apart and their personalities and quirks were voiced perfectly!

Humorous Madcap RomCom

This 2nd story in the "Life in Chatswain City" series was amusing and fun. Abby's day went from bad to worse until she finally snapped. Lucas, who only wanted to make a cupcake delivery, was swept away by Abby's actions, which just steamrolled from one unfortunate event to another. I found the tale very entertaining. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. Michelle Croll's narration was diverting, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Funny and crazy

Fun ride

So first I have to say that when I started this book I thought I was going to read a cozy mystery. I don't know. The title and the cover style match other cozy mysteries I've read. Anyway, that is not what this book is. And going into the story fully blind, I had to ask myself several times if the heroine of this book was fully sane. Much of the first part of the book is quite farcical so I told myself to just sit back and enjoy the ride. I can enjoy a good farce with the best of them. But eventually some withheld truths come out that make it feel less farcical and more like a person just had a really bad day. I'm mean really bad day. Seriously I don't know if anyone would ever do what Abby does when she finally blows that gasket of sanity but who knows? Maybe lots of people would! And initially I didn't think the delivery guy was all that realistic but, you know, withheld truths come to light.... Anyway, it is fun to ride along with Abby, her friends and the delivery guy. The story takes some unexpected twists along the way and it was fun to see where the story path was going to come out.
This is my first book by this author and I thought the story was fun and would read this author again. I enjoyed the narrator and thought she did a good job with the different voices and accents.
Overall, listening to this book as a fun way to spend my Saturday.

Felt like my story.

I loved listening to this book on audio. It keeps you wanting to know more of what is happening and has surprises throughout the book. At the beginning, I felt the main character was me. Doing something I wish I had the nerve to do when I had enough of everything going wrong. Then we have the romance twist and ex's trying to kill you. I would recommend this book.

A fun and crazy adventure ride with a girl who just finally snapped and the poor delivery driver on the other end of it. It's a really fun and very entertaining story with a side of crazy and police car chases. Definitely recommend as a clean rom-com read.

Narrator- did a great job with the differentiations and was fun to listen to. I preferred 1.3x speed.

FUNNY, COP ROM COM

THE STORY IS FUNNY, WELL NARRATOR WITH A TICKING TIME BOMB OF A WOMAN AS THE MAIN CHARACTER. MURPHY LIVES IN EVERY ASPECT OF HER LIFE. IF IT CAN GO WRONG IT WILL. THERE IS A MENTION OF A SUICIDE THAT SOME MAY FIND TRIGGERING. GREAT JOB ON THE NARRATION.

CLEVER ADVENTURE ROMANCE

CLEVER ADVENTURE ROMANCE. First I thought OH oh this is one crazy lady but really, bad luck was dumped on her on one big heaping and she had just had enough! You know the straw that broke the camels back? well that came in the form of a delivery man with flowers. How you ask? well read/listen to the story, it is very entertaining. By the end I was standing right behind her egging her on, revenge is sweet. Recommended.
