The Confessor (Unabridged)

A truly great book with John Lee doing a fantastic job of narrating. Well written with totally unexpected twists and turns and a story that spans from 1942 to the present that brings together cultures, religions, the inner workings of the Church in Rome, politics, intrigue and mystery. Don't miss this one.

Silva's Consistant

Daniel Silva wraps action advenure, mystery and recent history into an entertaining listen. His Israeli Mossad characters expose the horror of the Holocaust using fictional modern day events. The narration is reserved and sets an excellent tone for the theme.

Excellent story and equally excellent performance by the narrator! Daniel Silva has the best series, do yourself a favor and read all of them!

How many have to die to make the Pope look infallible? A great storyline and narration makes Daniel Silvis answer a page turning experience.

Dracula lives

I had a difficult time getting into the book. Not because of the story as much as the reader. I’ve never meet an Italian, in or out of the church, that spoke like Dracula. After awhile it just became comical than annoying.

Excellent and historically accurate

Using historically accurate account of a tragic time in the history of Europe and the Catholic Church develops a wonderful mystery story. Narration is excellent, good character development, good twists and turns. Very detailed so it is a book that you need to listen to while not otherwise occupied.

Classic Alon

Excellent plot, good performance. A satisfying tale among so many Silva offerings. I enjoyed it.

A great explanation of Gabriel Elon’s relationship with the Catholic Church

I’ve listened to many of Silva’s novels in this series. Pretty much in random order. So it was great to finally understand this.

The Confessor

I recently became familiar with Daniel Silva's writings, and have found that I look forward to each book. While I thoroughly enjoyed 'The Confessor' I was disappointed with how the writer reached the ending. Yes, these books have many twists and don't need to be any more convoluted. However, it appeared as though the writer just got tired of the story and wrapped it up quickly without taking you thru how he got there.
