Animated narrator, does all the voices. Wish download was split by book, sadly was forced to read the books in the order they were downloaded due to not having the downloads for each book separate. Still relevant years later due to the psychological observations of the author.

Glad I took a chance

I was hesitant to purchase this after reading the other reviews, but took a chance. I'm glad I did, i had none of the difficulties mentioned in other reviews and was able to navigate the book quite easily. Great use of a credit!

Great Performance of Timeless Classics

Alison Larkin delivers an excellent performance of some of the greatest works in English Literature. An incredible value for a single audible credit!

I thought this was excellent

I will respond to other reviews. I'm glad that the book is divided so that I can choose which book that I can read. I realize this is a recent Improvement. I find the only distraction is the chapter announcement which only gives the title of the book. I love the music. I begin every sentence with the word I because for some strange reason audible does not see fit to improve their text to speech app

The best readings of these timeless books. Larkins' inflections, cadence, and accents are perfect.

Nails it!

This reader just knows how to voice all the characters. I've purchased several versions of the Austen books, and this is my favorite.

Excellent, nuanced reading of these great books

I was thoroughly impressed. I've got versions of these from Librevox which are superb and so wasn't expecting this reader to be as good as Karen Savage or Elizabeth Klett but she was! Alison Larkin clearly knows the stories well and reads them with intelligence, intuition, and love.
I appreciated the little musical interludes. They added style and atmosphere to the recordings.
Six of the greatest works of the English language for the price of one is more than a bargain. It is a gift.
The reader is amazing. I think it is very difficult for women to read for men's parts but I was seldom taken out of the story by her reading and various voices.
I listened to these six books twice through before leaving this review. I've listened to various versions of all of Jane Austen's books more than a dozen times. Very glad to add these to my collection and will listen again.

I gave 5 stars because I like the books. I do wish the chapters had been broken down better, as I have seen in my other selections that contain more than one story. It was hard to find the place where you left off, if you went out of the book and then back in.

This audiobook is impeccable - Alison Larkin captures the spirit of each character and has fun with the text. You seriously can't find a better deal on any audiobook anywhere. I return to it over and over!

the books are not sorted, its just ongoing chapters. Titles are supplied by audio only so in order to listen to Emma I have to take notes as to which of the 60 odd chapters that story is in. However it is all six books a one reasonable price.
