Publisher's summary

A completely reimagined epic of the man known as Robin Hood from multi-award-winning, best-selling author Stephen R. Lawhead - now with the complete trilogy in one volume.

For centuries, the legend of Robin Hood and his band of thieves has captivated imaginations. Now the familiar tale takes on new life as it boldly relocates to the dark forests of the Welsh countryside.

Hunted like an animal by Norman invaders, Bran ap Brychan, heir to the throne of Elfael, has abandoned his father’s kingdom and fled to the greenwood. There, in the primeval forest of the Welsh borders, danger surrounds him - for this woodland is a living, breathing entity with mysterious powers and secrets. Bran must find a way to make it his own if he is to survive and become King Raven.

From deep in the forest, Bran, Will Scarlet, and Friar Tuck form a daring plan for deliverance, knowing that failure means death for them all - and the dreams of the oppressed people of Wales.

This acclaimed trilogy (Hood, Scarlet, Tuck) conjures up an ancient past and holds a mirror to contemporary realities. Prepare yourself for an epic tale that dares to shatter everything you thought you knew about Robin Hood.

Epic historical fantasy that reimagines the Robin Hood legend in medieval Wales.

Includes the complete King Raven Trilogy:

  • Book One: Hood
  • Book Two: Scarlet
  • Book Three: Tuck

An Enjoyable take on the Robin Hood tale

I always like Lawhead's books. The King Raven series is an enjoyable take on the Robin Hood tale. It is also always nice to hear / read a story that is not afraid to have religion in it and portrays it in a non-negative light.

great story narrator skills of an illiterate 2 year old

the story was great and I really liked how hard the author worked on it. I especially liked his research and writing with his inclusion of the church and pious characters. too many authors these days don't include religion. biggest problem with this book was the narrattor gleefully butchered English and Welsh names. c'mon man learn to pronounce Worcester before narrating.

King Raven Trilogy

Excellent narrator! The voices for each character were great, I could tell who was speaking before the book made it clear. I'd listen to other books simply based on him as narrator.

Great trilogy

I really liked these three books. Great retelling of the Robin Hood tale, especially with the Welsh influence. I loved the way he wove in the history of Wales and the Norman conquest.

Love this retelling

It is great that all 3 books are bundled because this is worth the time. There never seemed to be a slow point. If you like British/Welsh history these books are fun.
