About this listen

An eccentric prophet.

A willing follower.

A teacher. A student.

A most unlikely God-ordained partnership that clearly sketches what we can accomplish in our time.

The ninth century model of servant leadership between Elijah and Elisha reveals an exemplary mentoring model that has no expiration date.

Two men in tandem, hearing the same drummer’s beat, marched into history books with their workable model of servant leadership. They clearly teach successful transition from generation to generation, and they teach us what can get done when no one cares who gets the credit.

The words in this book are not conjecture. Each mile has been walked on this journey, so listen with confidence as the author draws a map from where you are to a well-designed destination.

The Jeremiah 29:11 prophecy clearly states that God has developed a plan and a future for us. Utilizing servant leadership and learning from mentors will help us arrive at the place God planned.

A complete game changer!

WOW!! There is so much wisdom packed throughout each chapter starting with the foreword and even into the epilog. Reading the book gives you so much detail, but listening to it takes you to the dinner table just as if Pastor Brett Jones is personally serving you heaping portions of knowledge that will help you navigating your mentor/mentee relationships and even parenting and business relationships throughout life. I am so grateful that Pastor Brett chose to narrate this book. I recommend it to anyone that is seeking growth through servant leadership.

The Importance of Generational Transfer paired with Servant Leadership

I love how this book can relate to all areas of my life and not just my faith. As a follower of Jesus, a husband, a father, a young business professional, etc. I need an Elijah (mentor) in all these areas and to be an Elisha (mentee). This book exposes the sink or swim culture or “just figure it out” and shines a great light in the darkness. Understanding the importance of this hand off in generational transfer and servant leadership will help keep me and many others from drowning in the deep end. And for that I say thank you Pastor Brett Jones for writing this book. Yall need to check it out!
