The Case of Emil Diesel was awarded Best Fiction 2019 by the Pacific Book Review's Pacific Book Awards.

Caught in a web of conspiracy, Max Diesel fights the East Germans and present-day Germany to reclaim his father's precious art collection. The underlying story, which is inspired by true events, drives the novel through twists and turns of intrigue, suspense, and emotional drama of real-life characters.

I loved this book, written so beautifully with clarity and thoughtfulness. One could imagine being there throughout this journey from start to finish. I recommend this book in both mediums. The audio version was an added plus. Most enjoyable yo listen too as I have read both , hard cover and audio.

One of the audio books I’ve heard in a very long time.

When I finished the book this reminded me of that quote "the things you own end up owning you" passion is a double edge sword and the characters resonate with real themes, obsession of things, neglect of family, and overall love and respect for family even though it wasn't always reciprocated.

Based on a true story
