About this listen

Luther was not a pious bore. He was a real man and at times an earthy man who was brash and bold. In the politically correct world of today, some might have trouble with him. He did not speak for sound bites.

Through this audiobook you will have an intimate look into his world and mind. There are things you will respect and things you will admire. This look will let Luther be Luther. This is what you would have heard if you were invited into the Luther house in Wittenberg, Germany. Katherine, his wife, brewed his beer.

Luther is not the kind of man that would have a cry if you did not like him. He knew who he was and spoke with confidence. He won the hearts and minds of Wittenberg, even Duke Fredrick, then Germany and the world. Table conversation was filled with challenging ideas.

This is considered Luther's finest work of thought. What do you think about the freedom of the human will?

Important Clarifications

This book has clarified so many points of the Word that I felt but had not heard before.
The performance was good and I didn’t tire of his voice even through a 14 hour book.

You Shall Know the Truth and It Will Set You Free

I loved hearing Luther in his own words defending the Gospel against those that would try and steal the glory of God by teaching Free Will.

Luther is a Master orator

I liked the way the narrator placed biblical verses to clarify the points requiring the source of Luther's theological position.

Purely a Catholic View

Having researched to study the truth behind the Reformation Period, it’s appalling to learn the bloodshed the Catholic Church was responsible for during that time. Martin Luther and other great men of Biblical faith stood against what the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church was doing to the poor to exploit money from and control. I had purchased this book thinking it would honor a man who expose the Catholic Church, but soon found out, it is a slander piece upon a real man of God who exposed a religious evil that sadly continues still today.
