Excellent Entertainment

A great sequel to the first book and the narrator once again did an excellent job.

Fantastic listen.

Loved it, was on my toes the entire read! Just never knew what was going to happen or who would perish. Great callbacks to the previous book as well!

Very good story.

I enjoyed the story. Interesting characters with a bit of humor to avoid too much darkness.
The narrator did an excellent bringing the story to life.

Great book, Author lacks creativity

This book is a sequel to THE SUMMONER.

The book itself keeps you intriged for the most part, however, you can skip some entire chapters without missing anything. The book seems to add chapters for clarification, but the author gets side-tracked frequently.

4/5 for a successful sequel but it continues in the same vain as the first book to the point of repetition.

I was riveted!

I really enjoyed this sequel! So worth a listen! The characters grew and flourished in this book! Start with The Summoner and hold on for the ride!

Better

These books just keep getting better and better. Very rare I listen to a audio book but I can't get enough of this series.

As the saga continues...

What did you like best about The Blood King? What did you like least?

I like that Tris and his group of friends are slowly growing into their skills as they bond together as a group. The story has a good pace with action as well as story and character development.

What other book might you compare The Blood King to and why?

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It follows the same type of storyline. The main character is wronged and leads a group of friends to rise up and crush the ones that are abusing them. Plus, the main character is coming into his powers like Tris.

What does Peter Ganim and Gail Z. Martin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They are able to bring depth to all of the players in the story that I wouldn't have been able to do had I read the book.

Was The Blood King worth the listening time?

Yes!
