Took Some Time To Get There
This book was definitely a slow burn romance. And I do mean S-L-O-W! At times I thought the MFC was going to be this incredibly strong Liken who just didn't know how to control her abilities but the more I listened, the sleepier I became....I may have missed some parts due to falling asleep.
And I was patiently waiting on the dark romance part of this story, however, I never found it.
It wasn't a horrible listen but I'm glad that it only cost me one credit for both books.

Slooow Build
Story took a bit to get going. First book was world building leaving the reader with a ton of questions that finally wrap up in the last third of the second book.
