About this listen

The quiet, unflappable Rivka is truly a black mamba in a mouse's skin as kings, queens, and raiders are about to discover. Because of Rivka's successes, the Jax Contract Committee continues to accept more of the lucrative, non-standard projects, and General Issak continues to shamelessly call on Rivka to solve his impossible problems. As a result, Rivka increasingly finds herself in stormy, unchartered waters. The inhabitable universe is about to discover the mouse is cute, but the mamba's bite is deadly.

Number three--just as good one and two.

This story, just as real-life situations impact the participating parties. The resultant interactions can and do affect future stories in the series. Therefore, one should start with book one to truly enjoy this series.
I really appreciate Sarah Colton's narration of this story, truly excellent work.

Another great addition to the Black Guard Saga

I enjoyed the book very much with the continuing character development. It is VERY similar in format to the second book. A series of missions in a row. The only jarring thing I found in the third book is the sudden change in name of the Commandos to Marines, and the occasional switching back and forth between the two names when referring to the Commandos.

It’s ok

Narration was good. It’s the same story as Devils To Me, just with different names. One mission after another.

poor

The narration is great. I truly enjoyed it. Having read or listened to other series by this author it's easier with each book that he is recycling plots, mannerisisms and more. This MC seems to have stopped developing. She's become so much like 'Fox' in the SFG series. Her 'orders and situations' remind me of a saying,,,I came, I saw, I conquored'. Yes this is fantasy. But do the supporting characters have to be so simple? I became annoyed w the clinents. They sign what sounds like a mega-buck contract. Then complain about following it. Every mini story in this series has it to one degree or another. Then the males whining about women militart. I would have thought that the client would have had these items specifically addressed.

Is this the same author?

This is repetitive and sophomoric! Not up to the usual standard. Maybe the author should take a sabbatical and get his head on straight. Unless, this is a ghost author.
