About this listen

An unthinkable tragedy forever changes a group of teens and turns family against family in this edge-of-your-seat thriller that begs to be heard in one sitting.

Best friends Lindsey, Kendra, and Dani endure every parent’s nightmare when a tragic accident befalls their teenage boys, leaving one dead, another in a coma, and a third too traumatized to speak.

Reeling from the worst night of their lives, the three mothers plunge into a desperate investigation of the bizarre incident. How could something so horrible happen in their wealthy Southern California suburb?

They soon discover that the accident was just the beginning, and troubling discoveries lead to chilling questions: Do they really know their children? Do they even know each other? As more secrets surface, a fog of doubt and suspicion threatens to poison their families, their friendships, and the whole community.

With the illusion of happiness and safety long gone, these women must now confront the hazards of heartbreak, the consequences of jealousy, and the dangers of living double lives.

This was incredibly depressing. With the current state of things, I needed a little better book.......

Depressing

A little confusing. I had a difficult time remembering who each of the women were and who their kids were. Other than that, a good story with a great ending.

Good story but...

I love a good mystery and this fit the bill. This is a new author for me and I plan to continue reading her books.

Love a good mystery

I have never read (listened to) a book that felt more real. I do not know how to explain other than just simply that

This was not what I was expecting. found the story boring. Waste of time really..

Drawn out..

Oooh this was a good mystery. I thought I had it figured out until it was divulged! These 3 women drove me nuts.m; most of the time they sounded like high school girls rather than adults. I cannot imagine going through what they went through though, every parents worst nightmare. With that being said, trigger warning there is teen death and this book.

Gripping

I had trouble dealing with the general theme of child death, especially a son's death. However, the author does a good job of not being overly manipulative with the sad details. Look forward to twists and turns and a satisfying, if sad, resolution.

Great read!

A little hard to keep track of characters in the beginning, (I think if I had read instead of listened it might have been less confusing) but the story was gripping.
