Solid and enjoyable listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

For my friends that are into Zombie apocalypse stories, yes.

I was a little nervous buying this audiobook. Previous reviewers left me a bit concerned, but I very much enjoy zombies and stories of the apocalypse and this satisfied the craving. There is a preface to the book that the author warns the reader that the story and the behaviors written will be dark. Well, yea, it is the apocalypse. People who balk at this have a slightly overdeveloped Hollywood view. I loved it. Honestly, I don't think the story was dark enough. Just what other depths will humanity sink to when the end of the world is at hand??

I will say that the story itself was entertaining. The narrator was also solid. However, he doesn't do female voicing very well, was a bit of a disconnect and could be jarring. Started listening for the second time to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Overall, I give it a 4.

I loved this book! both the writer and narrator were amazing! it's like they wrote the story together. I can not wait to "read" the rest of the series!

Worst narrator ever

No way. A narrator can make or break a novel. This man just grated on my nerves. Don't the authors have any in put.

I think it's a great story. Well written and engaging. I can't wait to start reading the next book.

Good Listen

Enjoyed the story of this zombie tale. Have been binging on Zombie books for last few years, while maybe not as good as Zombie Fall out or the Remaining, still a solid story, with good character. I like how the stories started out individual and then they came together. Look forward to moving on with the story

Dark book but well done

this book will make you love, and hate people all at the same time. Fast paced and makes the characters come to life. Well read by the Narrator, who does a great job of differentiation between characters.

Never quite what I'm looking for

In the beginning of the story he has a forenote saying stuff like, if you use the word racist, this is not for you, if you use the word misogyny, this is not for you, but in reality it's the same as any other zombie apocalypse book that just can't quite reach what I was looking for. Other than the hyper-sexuality in some parts of the beginning, it was pretty well written and enjoyable
