What Can I Say

Spoiler Alert:
Seth, the penultimate psychopath, shows the listener more ways to torture and kill than I thought imaginable. For the length of this book it got repetitive. There really isn’t much of a plot. If you like gore for gore’s sake, then this is a book for you. If it was half as long, it would have been better. The narrator could have done a better job with the voices of the characters as well.

It was meh

I am into horror and gore, this was not that great. I guess it is geared towards a certain group of people because it did not bother me in the least. If you have a pen** it may bother you.

An Amazing Sequel And Excellent Standalone

At first I wasn’t sure about this one, I really enjoyed the first books long term stories and harsh reality that it weaved. This book was a lot faster paced and had a lot of story all packed into one. Going between the two readers is tough at first but by the end I grew to enjoy both for their unique feeling they give the book.

Great Story, Horrible Narrator

Why does the longest book in the series need to have the most obnoxious sounding narrator? This guy sounds like an edgy 13 year old reading a book he knows he shouldn’t be.

Love love Wade Garrett’s writing

I love Wade Garrett’s books. I’ve read them multiple times. The main character doles out warranted justice for scum bags. I am beyond thrilled some of them have been turned to audiobooks. I can listen while I’m doing multiple things. The narrator for this book is outstanding. I felt like Seth came to life with him. My all time favorite quote from this book was “hes shooting spirts at us!” I would listen to the narrator for all audiobooks but he is for sure talented reading Garrett’s book. I rewound that quote so many times because I laughed so hard. But this isn’t a comedy book. It was just hilarious. I hope Garrett writes more because it’s clear he is a smart and talented writer.

Love the series, but…..

Ok, full disclosed, huge fan of Drew Blood who has narrated 3 in this series. I love, love, love the concept of this series. Great writing. A little hard to listen sometimes because of the intensity and gore, but this narrator is unimaginative and boring. He’s very 2 dimensional and flat. If you can over look the narrator, the story is well with the listen.

I will definitely be purchasing the 3rd in this series, solely for continuity and context, but I am
Thankful to see this narrator didn’t narrate your 3rd one.

The listener is punished

Wyatt is absolutely insufferable. It was quite the trial having to endure his whining, mealy-mouthed, voice all the way to the end of the story. And I was SO hoping he’d catch a bad one and that’s the only reason I kept listening. Wyatt has the mental athleticism of a 6-year old and he goes on and on with his excessive asinine questions. But maybe it is just punishment for those of us who like this genre of horror. If you can stand to put up with Wyatt the story is certainly very entertaining.
