Post WWII Story That Will Grab You
All in all, I really liked this book. The only fault I can find is that the central figure "acted" much older and more experienced than the author said she was. . . and I had a little trouble with that throughout the engaging, multi-layered story. Eg., In 1947, the age of independence for women was 21. The central character was only 19, turing 20 near the end of the story; yet she was quitte a woman of the world. It was a stretch for me. That aside, the story was very intriguing. All female spy networks during both WWI and WWII made for a colorful, twisty story throughout. The narration was superb.

what a story
First time author for me.
Three broken souls due to war this novel brings them together to chase their ghosts.
A very creative, well written story, this one plays on the heart strings.
It's a good one, you should try it.

Fascinating read
After reading a couple dull books I was so happy to find the Alice Network. I liked how each storyline was kept separate and then finally converged at the end. Honestly the only thing I didn’t like was the constant math references to remind the reader that the protagonist was smart or good at math. “Solve for x” wasn’t relevant anywhere and you can’t just make up equations about interpersonal situations. I remembered the protagonist was smart by the things she did or said. The math references were just too forced. Anyway overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes world history, mystery, spies and an improbable trio banding together for a common purpose.

Captivating book and had me enthralled from start to finish.
Fantastic story with lots of plot twists and beautiful prose. Highly recommend this if you enjoy reading about empowering women in often complex situations.
