Written for too broad of an audience

The author is probably a competent advisor in matters of international tax, but perhaps they should get some counsel on writing books.

There’s a jumble of details which will not apply to many people but very little macro picture.

If the book is written for Australians citing Australia specific requirements is fine. But then why cite Canada, the US, UK, or EU?

The book is far too short to be considered comprehensive in these areas (the author admits that) but then drops down into the weeds foregoing a macro narrative.
