Editorial reviews

It's widely accepted that kickers do not garner as much respect as position players in the NFL. Garo Yepremian manages to use this to his advantage with his unique, self-deprecating Tales from the Miami Dolphins Sideline: a personal, revelatory take on his experience kicking for one of the most iconic teams in league history.

Rich Owen appropriately maintains a buoyant, conversational tone throughout, but he also shows the ability to shift gears when necessary. Yepremian is painfully sincere at times - particularly in his account of his infamous Super Bowl VII blunder - and Owen injects these moments with the right amount of heart and vulnerability.

Disappointing narration

The book was good, although it skipped around a bit. I’m a huge Dolphins fan, and so also interested in Garo.

However I was very disappointed in the narrator, who kept mispronouncing everyone’s name

A Garo Yepremian Sports Biography

I don't think I knew Gato Yepremian existed before I listened to this book. It was a refreshing experience.

Most of the books in this series are composed of a hodge-podge of stories that jump around from game to game and year to year, without any overt structure, in many cases. Most I haven't finished.

This one was different. It's an autobiography of Garo Yepremian's life in sports. It might have been nice to hear the perspectives of others that he played with, but the positive and interesting tales that Yaro tells make up for that lack.

Not what I was expecting.

This was basically a biography of Garo Yepremian. If you are a Dolphins fan and want stories from the history of the team then you aren't going to get it here. The reader was okay but the story wasn't that great. The ending was weird as well it just ended in what seemed like the middle of a paragraph. I wouldn't recommend this book unless you were a Garo fan.
