Great novella

Loved the characters. I know I’m going to enjoy this new series a lot! I think that RZ has another great idea!

weak plot.

I wish the author had invested time in a plot deeper than a runaround teacher and student. Also the Hunter character is emotionally/mentally same problems as Malcom in last book. Pretty basic.

Great

A fast and full shorter story about kids who overcome and become awesome people. Two of them fall in love but mess it up, but helping someone else brings them back to fix things. There no angst or melodrama, just beautiful, flawed real characters and a great plot.

Short but good

This is a short sideline but it is referenced in the next book so worth the listen and the Narrator does a great job.

Longer is usually better!

I enjoyed this novella but, I can’t stop thinking about how really good it could have been if it had been a full length novel. In my opinion, Novellas, of this length, are only appropriate to add an after thought to a full length novel; I may be in the minority in this. I’ll be interested to see if any of these new characters reappear in the series, later on.

This book has a touchy subject manner. There is an adult woman who has an intimate relationship with her 16 year old male student. I was relieved that the author did not write any intimate scenes, between these two. This couple are secondary characters. The Hero and Heroine are the 16 year old’s brother and the love of his life. So don’t worry, this book isn’t a taboo storyline.

I also always enjoy when R.Z. Includes some of the characters from her other series. This story has a cameo appearance from Dhage and Talen from the Dark Protectors series.

I love second chances!
This little novella is exactly that. I want more from Hunter and Faye. They work so well together.
There are many hurt feelings, and it's understandable. But once they started working together, things got better.
The lost boy took precedence, and finding out he was Hunter's half-brother was icing on the cake. Now, all they had to do was find him before he got into more trouble or died.

I loved the narration and how fast-paced this book was.

great middle book to introduce more character to the rest of the series!! really starting to like clarence wolf. his character is awesome!

The wonderful combination of a good story with a good narrator makes this story come alive.

Heartwarming story of retired Marine, Hunter & Psychologist, Faye rush to rescue Hunter’s unknown brother from a teacher who drawn the kid into a Bonnie & Clyde murdering spree! Working together means full on hot steamy sex! Great character development, back story reveal, & flow to the story! Terrific end with new commitment to each other and to the rescued brother!

Wonderful short story

This is a great story about family no matter if the members are blood related. It made me want to know more about Hunter and Faye.
