About this listen

This swoonworthy, romantic companion novel to Wendy Higgins' New York Times best-selling Sweet Evil series is told from irresistible bad-boy Kaidan's point of view. Listeners will love getting inside Kaidan's head, especially fans of the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, the Selection series by Kiera Cass, and Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

When bad-boy drummer Kaidan Rowe encounters good girl Anna Whitt, the girl chosen to vanquish the demons from Earth, he can't stop thinking about her. The Nephilim son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan tries to help Anna embrace a life of sin, but she gradually helps him see that he's meant to do more with his life. Their relationship is as tortured as it is passionate, for Nephilim are forbidden to fall in love. But as hard as they may try to obey, Kai can't seem to stay away from Anna, nor Anna from Kai.

Full of chemistry and high-stakes drama, this companion audiobook is darker, hotter, and completely satisfying.

Bloddy Hell!! This book was Brilliant!!!

Would you listen to Sweet Temptation again? Why?

YES!!! I absolutely love this book. I read/listen to this book on audible. Having the Sweet Evil series told from Kaidan's point of view was such a treat. I loved his inter monologs, which are done in his British vocabulary Brilliant! If you're a fan of the Sweet Evil series than this is truly a must read.

Might be my favorite

I loved this book it was honestly the best book I read like this. She managed to hit everything from all three books but made this feel like a whole new story. I Loved it, and the narrator was great even though it was read by a man he did not detract from the story. It was just a good read it's highly recommend by me

So entertaining as well as heartmelting

I thought this was the typical recap from another perspective thing I’ve seen in other series, but I got it because I love the character as well as the series. It’s a little different than that. It picks up from the MC Anna’s storyline and there is quite a bit of overlap but it also then goes on to finish the story from Kai’s perspective. His story is told in a far more colorful and personal manner, and it works. The very humorous and mouthy inner voice of Kaiden keeps the story more real when it could have felt too sweet.
Which brings me to the performance. I think Christian Coulson is now my favorite narrator. Not only does he have an insanely wonderful voice to listen to, he adds so much variety and such natural reading it indeed sounds as if someone is telling a story, not reading. He’s awesome. I’ve heard him read in British accent with other stories, with the colorful humorous tone.

The Sweet Evil Trilogy from Kaiden's POV

In order to truly enjoy this book, you you have read all 3 books in the Sweet Evil Trilogy first. This fourth book is a compilation of Kaidan Rowe's point of view in the entire trilogy. It is comprised of snippets in action and the internal monologue from when Kaiden met Anna to the very end when Kaiden, Anna and the other nephilim are redeemed.

We are treated to Kaiden's first impression of Anna, their inner battle against their dark heritage and their heartbreaking struggle to perform their "duties" or risk incurring the Duke's suspicion of non-compliance. The first three books were from Anna's perspective and it had a wholesome quality to it as Anna was a good southern girl. Kaiden's book was much dark because he was full of suspicion, resentment and lacked hope of anything good ever happening to him. Until he saw Anna's aura and it caused a dramatic shift in his view of his future. He never gave love a second thought until he felt her love for him and he couldn't turn away from that warmth.

I will say that there wasn't really new material here. I felt like I had a good sense of the stress that Kai endured at the hand of his father. I also felt like I got a good sense of what it was costing Kai to choose to protect Anna by pushing her away. This book was more of a summarization of all the events that transpired from Kaiden's perspective. If you loved the first three books as I did, then you will also enjoy this one as presents the same scenarios but with an edgier tone because Kaiden was a darker character than Anna.

College blue book

This book was like an English college blue summary of the previous 3 books but from the male characters POV.

Not much additional information was added bedsides the fact we are really aware how horny men around the world truly are.

Booo

I loved this series when told from Anna's point of view, I thought Kaiden's would be so good! But in fact it was a terrible retell of of the same book with a worse narrator. I would set this book to play and not even listen most of the time. Really disappointed.
