About this listen

I never asked for an assistant, and if I had, I sure as hell wouldn't have chosen her.

With her sharp tongue and lack of discipline, what she needs is a firm hand, not a job. The more she tests my limits, the more tempted I am to bend her over my knee.

As a Russian Mafia boss, I can't afford distractions... or secrets. I suspect my innocent new assistant is hiding something, and I know just how to get to the truth.

It's high time she understands who holds the power in our relationship. So I'll keep her close, controlling her every move. But I am no longer after information—I want her mind, body, and soul. She underestimated the stakes of our dangerous game and now owes a heavy price.

She's mine now.

Mine.

Sweet Animosity continues the steamy, enemies-to-lovers drama featuring the domineering Russian Mafia men of Zoe's Ruthless Obsession series. This is the eighth novel and part of a new trilogy in Zoe Blake's Ruthless Obsession series. It is a standalone for mature listeners.

Sassy FMC

Vivian is a funny and sassy art forger who stumbles across the Russian mafia man Var. Their banter is hysterical and adds to their chemistry. I’m all for an alpha MMC, but Var takes it overboard. You can include CNC as one of the TWs. Overall, it was an entertaining read.

Fantastic!

One of the best in the series! Get it now. You won’t regret it. Great narration and storyline. Tor Thom always brings his A game with this series and Lisa Zimmerman did great too. Love the humor in this one too. I giggled through several of Var and Vivian’s interactions. I could listen to a hundred books in this series. Zoe Blake did an awesome job with the world building and interacting storylines.

Vivian and Var

This book was so good. I love Zoe Blake's male main characters. When they have their eye on that one woman, they are obsessed and very possessive. Vivian was an art forger. She meets Var after she falls out of the ceiling when trying to find the person that she created the art for so he could pay her. Unfortunately, he was dead. Vivian gave Var a run for his money. She was so funny, had a smart mouth and was not afraid to use it, even though Var was Russian mafia. The banter between these two was so funny. She also did stupid things that could put her in danger. Var tried to keep her safe, but she fought him every step. Tor Thom and Lisa Zimmerman were great!

could be better

it was not bad. the main female lead was extremely annoying for 90% of the book. the materialistic part was lame. stupidity and no depth. they could have done so much better. the story felt one dimensional. the series feels like it is still going downhill. the ending alluded to another book coming later...so hopefully that character and book will be better. performance was good because the narrators were great as always. that's the only saving grace.
