Prior to reading this book, I had been just writing whatever felt right. Now, I have a solid understanding of how to structure my story from the big picture outline down to crafting a strong sentence.

Weiland does it again

Easy to read and to listen to, the craft of writing a novel is explained with examples of how and why to structure the novel. Good books make linear sense. Weiland shows us how that linearity is done, all the time giving the reasons the structure doesn't hinder creativity.

This book is easy enough for younger beginning writers to understand yet doesn't talk down to adults.
