About this listen

After a highly stressful event and under pressure from her boss, Shae McPherson reluctantly reports for her first therapy session with Doctor Adrian Ramsey. Shae is surprised to find that Dr. Ramsey isn't a man as she'd expected, but a soft-spoken, strikingly lovely woman.

Adrian Ramsey finds her new patient both obnoxious and antagonistic. She also finds her surprisingly appealing in a way she hadn't felt in years.

Despite all attempts to keep their relationship strictly professional, the two women find themselves falling for each other. Until dark family secrets emerge and threaten to erode the happiness just within their reach.

Good book

I liked this book it was very well written, i gave a good glimpse into PTSD and it is important to talk about this. The MC were well created and narration was very British and very good.

Great!

New writer for me glad I took a chance. The writing is intelligent, good depth. Humor is actually funny - so difficult to pull off, Ms. Roberts is very good at it (thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!) All secondary characters are fully drawn, not just filler. Narrator is a pro!!! Get this. You will not be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

Fell flat

First, as a South African, it was very weird listening to a book playing out in SA but with a British narrator. If it wasn’t mentioned that they live in Johannesburg, I would never have guessed. The culture was British and the school system sounded American. There were no South African cultural influences. Sorry for the rant.

The narration was flat and everyone sounded the same. Got confused a lot of times by who were supposed to be talking.

Even though the story deals with a therapist and there’s a lot of talking, there’s not really deep conversations.
