Surprisingly I kept listening

I loved how the quality of the reading of each character was readily embraced. It was so authentic- Very Christian based, but nice to enjoy a wholesome romance book without all the grit. Pleasant and appreciated change. Speaks to the story line and how a book can be good without smut. It dragged a lil in the end, but still decent nonetheless.

I so enjoyed listening to this book. The story was wonderful and the narrator was flawless and told the story in a way that absolutely kept my interest.

It was hard for me to try a new narrator but the book seemed so interesting. I am so glad that I did! This book is absolutely amazing! Clean, spiritual and funny at times!

Enjoyed the story. So happy to read a story with a Christian theme. It shows that you can have a story without people jumping into bed.

Precious book

I can’t say enough about the excellence of this book and reader. The story was heartwarming and gave so much spiritual guidance. The reader made each character come alive. The suspense of what what coming next made me not wanting to stop listening.
I highly recommend this book.

Just as wonderful as when I read it in the ‘90s

This wholesome Christian story of a family’s transformation is real and raw, challenging and inspiring, and the outstanding narration is the “cherry on top.”

I absolutely loved this

I loved the characters and the storyline. It made you feel that you were apart of their lives. The reading was done in such an interesting & amazing way! It just made my heart happy. Thank you audible ❤️

My favorite book

I have read this book more times than I can count over the years. I was Craig’s age when I first read it, now I’m older than Alec, amazing. This book is such a treasure to read and the heart felt witness is wonderful. I have given away so many copies to people who needed a boost, they always come back to me that this story touched them.

After all these years, hearing Sophie come to life, brought me to tears. I’ll be honest I am not a fan of the voice/tone used for Alec but the narrator does such a wonderful job with emotions it’s easily overlooked. Her Craig had me crying, he sounded just the way I heard him in my head. The narrator’s ability to capture Sophie’s accent and the frustration of not getting the words right is palpable. I love it.

I can only hope they do more of Lori Wick’s work.
