About this listen

The Rebel Alliance’s elite strike force must join together with Han Solo to take down their old foe, the warlord Zsinj.

Wraith Squadron: they are the Rebel Alliance’s ultimate strike force. Sleek, swift, and deadly, they are the first in battle, the last line of defense. Now they must find and destroy a wily enemy more powerful than the Empire itself.

Their covert mission has been a success. The enemy has been vanquished. Or so they thought. The Super Star Destroyer Iron Fist somehow escaped destruction and with it the New Republic’s greatest threat, the infamous warlord Zsinj. To defeat him, Wraith Squadron must join a combat task force led by the only man crafty enough to beat Zsinj at his own game: Han Solo.

But Zsinj knows the X-wing fighters’ indomitable courage is both their greatest strength–and their greatest weakness. For even against the most overwhelming odds, the Rebels will fight to the death. And that will leave Zsinj the galaxy’s unchallenged master!

Solo Command

Book 3 of the Wraith Squadron series steps the game up once again. We go deep into Piggy’s background/ creation. I cannot recommend this trilogy enough! Marc Thompson and Aaron Allston are a perfection.

The Wraith Squadron novels get better.

While I am a fan of Star Wars novels that focus on the Jedi, love the Wraith Squadron trilogy that focuses on the military aspect. Marc Thompson delivers another peak performance. No wonder he's my favorite narrator regarding Star Wars novels.

A Blend of everything you’d want from this series

A superb conclusion (kind of) to this main part of the X-Wing series. From Ketch to Jansen, the humor is stellar. From the Fel narrative to Notsil and Tonin’s arc, it is overflowing with rich story and thrilling moments.

Amazing story, however, some audio issues

Story and performance are done amazing 10 out of 10. However, throughout the book, there's an almost vibration that comes up and down and warps the voice of the narrator. It sounds like they're trying to do something with background noise, but it makes it very hard to listen to in the car.

Love almost everything about these audiobooks

one minor critique I have is that the sounds effects don't always fit the actual context. One scene in this particular book takes place between two people in an empty pilot's lounge, but they added sounds from a crowded cantina.

As good as ever.

Marc Thompson IS the voice of Star Wars. There, I've said it. And I'm standing by it.

This whole series is great

We need more of THIS kind of Star Wars to transfer to the screen. I hope one day the powers that be get it and do it.
