About this listen

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HERO?

As the chosen of the gods and defender of all humanity, everyone expects me to do great things. From the tender age of six, it’s been my duty to serve humankind, and during my first trial by fire in Keren County... I failed miserably. Since then, I’ve devoted my every waking moment to becoming someone worthy of my position. Though I’m still too weak to accomplish much on my own, as long as I’m with my friends, I’m sure there’s something we can do to help people. Hmm? Where’s the spider? What are you talking about...?

An unnecessary entry

This was all filler, you get a bit of a a bit more villainous characterization of Potimas, and it does make you at least care a little about Julius and his party but apart from that it's mostly just background information with little bearing on the main story.

Not what expected to get but enjoyed it

Filled in gaps and tied more of the world together. I like seeing how all the main characters exploits effect both the world and others lives. Hearing from Sophia was a treat. I honestly enjoyed my time, despite not progressing forward. Looking forward to the next one.

A book that doesn't have the series main character in it

In previous books the parts about the human characters are always the worst. This novel is *entirely* about the human hero. Dreadfully boring.

What is This?

At the end of the last book we were getting all geared up to attack the elf village and then... an entire book about a character that matters little to the story and has already died back in the first or second book. Oh, and some of Sophia being Sophia. This was absolutely painful to listen to. Julius is nearly as bland and lame as Shun. You can get more entertainment from reading the ingredients on a box of cereal. Just skip this one.

Only Filler

Don't bother picking it up. It has very little to do with the main story or any of the main characters.

worthless filler

you can skip this book if you wanna save the credits, this book gives no useful information going forward. the story of the hero isn't even the hero we have going forward, it's about the one who's killed in the first season that got like 30 minutes of screen time. I debated on buying this on the off chance it did have something important. It did not
