About this listen

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HERO?

As the chosen of the gods and defender of all humanity, everyone expects me to do great things. From the tender age of six, it’s been my duty to serve humankind, and during my first trial by fire in Keren County... I failed miserably. Since then, I’ve devoted my every waking moment to becoming someone worthy of my position. Though I’m still too weak to accomplish much on my own, as long as I’m with my friends, I’m sure there’s something we can do to help people. Hmm? Where’s the spider? What are you talking about...?

What listeners say about So I'm a Spider, So What?, Vol. 11 (Light Novel)

Highly rated for:

The Reviews Indicate That This Audiobook Entry In The Series Is Largely Focused On Providing Backstory And Details About A Previous Hero Character Who Is No Longer The Main Protagonist. While Some Reviewers Found The Story Itself Decent, The Overwhelming Criticism Is That It Feels Like Filler Content That Does Little To Progress The Main Overarching Storyline That Readers Are Invested In. Many Express Disappointment That An Entire Book Was Dedicated To An Unimportant Character's History Instead Of Advancing The Plot They Were Anticipating. The Book Is Viewed By Some As An Unnecessary Cash Grab That Tells An Unasked For Story Irrelevant To The Current Narrative.

Not what expected to get but enjoyed it

Filled in gaps and tied more of the world together. I like seeing how all the main characters exploits effect both the world and others lives. Hearing from Sophia was a treat. I honestly enjoyed my time, despite not progressing forward. Looking forward to the next one.

An unnecessary entry

This was all filler, you get a bit of a a bit more villainous characterization of Potimas, and it does make you at least care a little about Julius and his party but apart from that it's mostly just background information with little bearing on the main story.

HERO POV

Great performance as always. I wasn't expecting this volume to be mostly the hero Julius pov, but it was good for tieing in details. If you like to have the world more put together then don't skip. If you don't care and just want the story to move forward with the MC then go to the next volume.

Not as good as the main story

Feels like filler. (Almost) nothing to do with the main story. Felt like a chore to listen to this one.

should be alt titled

This is not a bad entry of the series if you care about the other people in the story. i personally think this book should have been marked a .5 or given an alt title/ sub title. Personally i feel disappointed in the entry as to me it felt like i was not getting the story i was paying for or expecting. The performance is as good as a the past entries so if you are this far in you know what you are getting there.

Eye rolling. Worst one yet.

I am invested in the story after this many books, but this one was by far the worst book. Just skip it. It's filler at best. So much padding and repetition and stating the obvious again and again. I kept waiting for it to get to the point. Then it was over. Also, tsundere doesn't work in a diary. Those chapters couldn't make up its mind between dialog or monolog. And there was no connection between the story lines.

A book that doesn't have the series main character in it

In previous books the parts about the human characters are always the worst. This novel is *entirely* about the human hero. Dreadfully boring.

15 minutes of Vampy goes to school and is board.

Absolutely pointless read, it's all about dead or irrelevant characters based on what we know from the first 10 books. So unless you like useless fill give it a skip.
