Great Fun!!!!

I loved it. It is shame the author isn't continuing the story line. I hope she changes her mind.

Great Entertainment. Great Performance.

What a fun, interesting listen. Great story. Not the sort of thing I normally read but definitely will listen to the next instalment. Such a delight. Really recommend this one for a fun, brisk read and a good chuckle. Enjoyed the characters immensely. Can't wait to see what they get up to in the next book.

Easy listening.

The story is good but the narrators different voices will paint the characters not necessarily as the author intended them to be visualized and you don't realize certain characters are probably younger and more attractive than they sound. I was delighted to learn it's part of a series though.

An Easy, Fun Read

This book was a fun diversion.. I listened to it while doing mindless chores like folding laundry and chopping produce. The main charachter, Rose, and her panoramic sidekick are just "off" enough to be interesting, and while there is some romance involved it doesn't take over the story of neatly resolve everyone's problems by the end of the the last chapter. On to the next in the series!

It's a copy of the Royal Spyness novelettes but

But it's a very good copy, and comes with an excellent narrator. And by copy, I don't imply a copyright infringement, but more of a copy of the general idea. This book is amusing, well paced, a book that will brighten your day. And the Spyness novels have an inferior narrator so you won't be listening to them any more.

The narrator makes the story come to life!!

I love this narrator! She really makes the characters leap!
The story is fun. The main characters likable.
The story moves right along.

Very clever book...make sure you stay for the epilogue. I was entertained while I went about my business. I just love Davina Porter...her characters (although similar across various authors...it's become a game to match them up) are truly realistic. I have discovered new authors by career stalking her. That's how much I like her!

Delightful mysterious adventure in the Country.

Oh my, my there's a lady tgis n that. Lordz and servants and butlers, up the steps and down the steps and in London for the ton and and the season and who fancues who and who has a serious diseases. Ups and downs and ins and outs and and the different levels of people that England frivolously use. Are busy this book all tied up in a fun adventure. I hope you enjoy this story.

Excellent narration

Very enjoyable mystery full of lots of interesting characters, and allowing a glance into the lives of the different classes of that time period.

Slow start but ok

Too much preparation...does not get to the actual crime and investigation until the middle. I was not find of the characters, but that is more of a personal preference...they do match the title. Still overall not too bad. Performance is very good.
