gorgeous gorgeous writing and storytelling. The narrator's voice was like music. I loved everything about this collection. In fact, I need to listen a srcond time!

These are some of the best stories I've listened to in awhile, the culture, the accents, and the folklore was refreshing. I wish I could find more books like this one!

A great display of Hopkinson's talents

Each story was unique, enchanting, sometimes dosturbing, and informative. Combines life in Canada with Caribbean culture and folklore.

Another collection of amazing stories. hearing them in the Caribbean dialect truly made all the difference, bringing the characters and folklore come to life. The stories of K.C, Cleave and Izxy made me howl with laughter often.

Pleasant Suprise

A host of wonderful short stories mixing Caribbean elements, folk tales and science fiction. It was over in an instant and I wish someone else had read it with me so we could discuss the stories. Good stuff.
