Beautifully and masterfully done

This book was written with such care, finesse, forethought and feeling that its IMPPSSIBLE not to sink into it and get utterly and hopelessly lost in the best way imaginable. The characters have a depth that makes it seem impossible their works of fiction and the plot is so engaging and suspenseful (not to mention ingenious) i was whole-heartedly invested. The voice acting was top notch. I've loved Lauren Fortgang for a while now and the actor that voiced Kaz was PERFECTLY casted. I've heard him since in a couple things and couldnt help but hear everything he said as coming from kaz. Its a delight to listen to such a well produced creation. The fact that the book was amazing on top of their wonderful performances is almost to much🤯😂
Seriously i cannot possible overstate how much this book touched me. I cried, i laughed and i hurt and was excited and surprised and overjoyed and all of it. No exaggeration. Leigh Bardugo made me feel all of these emotions listening to this book and I'm so greatful for this listening experience. Although i do most of my audible listening at work so if anyone happened to be watching me going thru all these contradictory emotions while building my furnaces im sure their thinkin my noodles cooked but i couldn't care less🤣
Anyway this book is the best I've listened to in such a long time its like a breath of fresh air. after sitting in my library for months no less and in my wish list for longer. Dont do as i did and deprive yourself of such quality masterful work as this for any longer and make the purchase if your still undecided..... Trust me...

Excellent Performance!!

I really didn’t need to find another series to love. The kind of love that has you lining up book 2 before you finish the first. 𝙎𝙞𝙭 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨 is YA at its best. I don’t read YA fantasy ever but this one is infamous and when i listened to the sample I was intrigued enough to cash in a credit (Audible Only). I listened to this in less than 24 hrs. I admit I’m a sucker for multiple narrator audiobooks and this one really worked well for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every character & backstory. 𝙎𝙞𝙭 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨 involves a caper that takes place in another world. Each character is unique whether it be their skills or their disabilities. Banding together they attempt to pull off an impossible heist. There’s skilled thievery, with slight of hand storytelling similar to Ocean’s Eleven. I highly recommend this if you’re one of the few left who haven’t read it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I did not want to stop reading/listening to it. I hope there is a follow up book.

excellent story, narrators, adventure

This story is gripping, the performance exceptional. it is dark, twisty and satisfying. Oceans 11 meets Charles Dickens.

A solid story from Leigh Bardugo

I originally read Six of Crows last July (2015) with pretty high expectations. It delivered spectacularly, and I fell in love with this mangy crew of six. I decided I wanted to reread through audio just because and, while it was an enjoyable story, I don't think I'm quite as IN LOVE with this story the second time around. It was still a strong story and I love this more than Bardugo's debut Grisha trilogy, but I just didn't find myself as in love with the characters. Nina and Matthias remain my favorites with Inej following close behind. Kaz used to be my favorite but this audio sort of knocked him down a peg. I'm not too sure if it was his narrator or if it was him as a character, but I just didn't love him as much. He was a tad too...forced? Maybe. I'm not sure what word I'm looking for.

The narration is decent. Nina's and Matthias's narrators are the best in my opinion and I could've listened to either of them narrate for hours. Jesper's narrator was pretty great, and I enjoyed Inej's as well. I wasn't much a fan of Kaz's narrator, and truthfully I wasn't a fan of the way Kaz was narrated by others (particularly Inej). At times it sounded TOO slimy and "guttural" and not quite natural. (This is why I said maybe it was the narration that made me iffy about Kaz. Some of his pivotal scenes are in Inej's point of view and I hated the narrator's choice of tone for Kaz.)

Overall, this was a worthwhile use of my credit for the month. I did really enjoy it and had a great time listening to it. It helped me get through some pretty long work hours! I'm still very excited for the sequel and what it holds.

so much left unsaid

I am a fan of book series but I prefer when one story finishes fully. understandably, the author wants you to want to read their next books but some form of closure for this book would have been nice.

The different narrators was an awesome change up. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great Worldbuilding
