Wow

The author does not shy away from the hard subjects in this one, keeping in tune with her other novels. I was emotionally wrenched and torn by characters actions in ways I have never been.
A satisfying conclusion to an epic tale.

Magnificent conclusion to an epic tale!

Ship of Destiny is the wonderful conclusion to Robin Hobb's Liveship Trilogy. I was so sad when I reached the epilogue as I felt I had gone through the long, arduous adventures with each of the characters. Amazing story!

Even after many readings/listenings I still love this story.. from Fitz to the Vestrit family..

This is a awesome stand along/ filler addition to the Realm of the Elderlings.. but start with the story of Fitz to really enjoy this.

Entertains on so many levels

At once a morality tale, a fanciful adventure, and a great escape from reality. Robin Hobbs doesn't skimp in building her characters who do not remain static but are allowed to learn and grow. Of course she contrasts these with a certain group who usually suffer from hubris and forces the story into unexpected consequences .

Hobb is fun!

Great way to end the trilogy. I didn't like the reader very much at first, but she really grew on me and now I look forward to hearing more from her.

Amazing!

I have been listening to Robin Hobb's books for a little while and this was by far my favourite so far. I think Anne Flosnik does a great job narrating and I just had the hardest time putting these books down. The whole Liveship Traders series is amazing and so well written. But this book specifically had me fall in love with characters that I hated in the previous books.

Great series, awful romances

Hobb is a terrific author. Her romances in her novels however seem very uncomfortable and unnatural. They become over complicated for no apparent reason, and there are far too many. Not every female character needs a romance.

Full circle

The third book in the trilogy brings answers to some of the mysteries of the first two. It also finally ties this trilogy to the beloved Farseer trilogy, but you can easily miss the connection(s) if you aren't paying attention. Finally got used to the author's voice and even grew to enjoy it when (played at 1.25 speed). Robin Hobb does a wonderful job of creating multiple worlds within a bigger world, with intertwining destinies...I can hardly wait to get started on the next trilogy in the series!
