About this listen

“An amnesiac searching for her identity, a serial killer watching her, and a town full of suspects!"—Pat Raab

All Jillian Deere can remember is a man no one could identify left her at a North Carolina hospital, seriously wounded with a gunshot wound to her neck. That’s it—all she can remember. When she gets out of the hospital, she doesn’t even know where she lived. Something is pulling her to the quiet beach town of Albany Beach. Even though she feels she belongs somewhere else, the thought keeps niggling her that she remembers something important about Albany Beach. She just can’t think what it is.

Haunted by her past and needing to find out her real identity, Jillian is not sure who to trust and turns for help to a person she sees every day—Ty Addison, the lifeguard. Despite the almost-ten-year difference in their ages, Jillian finds herself falling for his beach-bum good looks….

But the victims in Albany Beach have all been blonde and blue-eyed, just like Jillian. They have disappeared from the town’s sandy beaches, quaint cottages and wind-swept streets, only to be found later, murdered in a horrible way.
On the beach is where the first horrifying memory flashes. Jillian remembers something.

She knows a man is watching her.

The man watching Jillian has already decided exactly who Jillian is: his next victim.

Not a bad story but felt like it was more for teenagers than adults

It should have been listed as a romance more so than a thriller or mystery.
