Sweet, sexy and heartfelt, second-gen Pucked story

Finally, it’s BJ’s turn! I’m a massive Pucked fan, and I’m loving this spin-off series with the stories of the second generation of the Pucked kids. Randy and Lily from Pucked Over are my favourite couple of the series, so I’ve been extra excited to read their son’s story, and it (and he) was everything I was hoping for! BJ proves to be the most amazing romantic hero in this funny, sweet, sexy and heartfelt story that completely captured my heart. I loved it!

BJ and Winter meet when he almost runs her over while she’s riding her bike. She gives him a well-deserved serve, and from that moment, he is absolutely smitten. As a well-established manwhore, it’s a big shift for him, but his charm, good looks and patient determination ultimately win her over. Winter is fierce and spirited, and she has a lot of drama going on in her life that she’s trying to deal with, she doesn’t have time for BJ. But he is kind and caring, and the flirting and banter is next level, and she quickly finds herself completely under his spell. There’s no messing about, no game playing, they like each other and they don’t hide it, and I loved them together so much!

Though they share a love of the ice – he’s a figure skater, she’s a hockey player – their lives could not be more different. BJ has known nothing but love and privilege, whereas Winter has a difficult home life, but he is right there beside her to help her through some difficult times, and when her whole life implodes, the entire Pucked crew come to her rescue, and God, I love these guys together! Randy and Lily are so amazing as the parents to a 21 year old, and watching BJ’s friends and cousins gather around and bring Winter into the group warmed my heart. And the way she was able to accept their help was so gorgeous to see.

“Take the leap, Winter. I promise the landing is soft on this one.”

We see them chasing their dreams and settle into life together. They are fun and sweet, and so blessedly functional, they talk things through, and when problems arise, they deal with it. It’s so great to watch. And let’s not forget the sexy time, because these two are SO freaking hot together! Their passion for each other, and their growing feelings for each other create a beautiful love story, and I loved every moment with them. And when things get really hard, they are bound together even tighter – holding on and working through it all together. These two hard my heart in all the ways.

“I tried not to fall in love with you, but you made that impossible. You know that, right?”

I cannot express in words how deeply I adore BJ Ballistic. He is a sexy, dirty talking cinnamon bun of a hero; kind, caring, protective and sweet, and my God, he is so freaking hot! He may be a playboy, but he has a lot of depth. He’s emotionally mature (probably because his parents are so awesome), and I love the way he supported and cared for Winter when she needed him. And as Winter finally escapes the toxicity of her life and begins to find her way forward, she’s able to give that right back to him. Their relationship is a true give and take, and I loved their story so much.

I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by the dream team of Zachary Webber and Andie Arndt, and they are just fantastic. I definitely recommend listening to this one!

This is such a gorgeous read. I could not put it down, and I absolutely loved it.

Absolutely Loved it all of the above and of course Zachary and Andi Rock as always. I love how we are now seeing stories from the Pucked series spawn. Hope to have more of the clan. Lance and Poppy spawn would be great all ginger.

Can you get any more perfect with the narration? Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt are THE POWER COUPLE of narration, in my opinion of course. These two just bring the story to life, everytime.
I will listen to anything they narrate togther.
The story itself was different, and not in a bad way, just different.

JUST WOW!!!

What an amazing, gut wrenching, heartwarming and funny story!! I had all the feels. Bravo Helena Hunting, Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. I knew BJ’s story was going to be awesome and this book did not disappoint!

As always, Zach Martin is amazing. This book is just so heartwarming and heart wrenching.

The voice actors are superb

Zachary Webber is amazing - his acting range never ceases to surprise me. I love his voicing of women and his comic delivery.

Sports Romance

Winter and BJ were a surprise couple who navigated through heavy family issues and real-life disappointments. They got through it as a team, and it was so refreshing to see without a third-act breakup. I’m new to this author and will go back to read the first two books.
