About this listen

In Seven More Men, the sequel to the enormously successful Seven Men, number one New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas offers more captivating stories of some of the most inspiring men in history. A gallery of greatness comes to life as Metaxas reveals men who faced insurmountable struggles and challenges with victorious resolve.

Heroes and role models have always been tremendously important - essential for inspiring our lives and shaping the world. But in the last few decades, the need for men of valor and integrity is more vital than ever. Award-winning biographer Eric Metaxas restores a sense of the heroic in the compelling profiles of Martin Luther, George Whitefield, William Booth, George Washington Carver, Sergeant Alvin York, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, and Billy Graham. Each man evinces a particular quality: the courage to surrender themselves to a higher purpose and the willingness to give something dear to them away for the good of others.

With vitality and warmth, Metaxas draws electrifying insights for our daily lives from the inexhaustible richness of history. Inevitably inspiring, this anthology reminds us that certain qualities are worthy of emulation. Becoming acquainted with these seven heroes cannot fail to make your life immeasurably richer.

A book to be read or heard

As always Eric’s work never disappoints because he is so thorough and revealing about the subjects in which he writes. Why I never knew there was so much more to each subject he writes about and so his work is so enlightening and entertaining to the point it’s like you get to know them and everyone in there life and what life was like.
I will say this, of the two he wrote on men this was my favorite. And the women was just as good as this one. But my favorite of all books has to be Luther, followed by the one on William Wilberforce and this one a close second.
If you want to learn about remarkable people who were made so because of there relationship with their creator God, then be sure to read any of Eric Metaxas books and you will be blessed.

Role models

What an incredible book based on the true life stories of Godly men who failed yet pressed on in the faith of Christ. My kids were talking about roll models and considering these examples they should be high on any list. @ericmetaxas Thank you for you diligent work and excellent reserch of all your 7s!

Outstanding

This is yet another outstanding book by Eric Metaxas. In this book we learn about individuals that we have heard of but don't know a whole lot about. I am challenged to learn more about these men. I hope Eric Metaxas writes more.

Great series

Eric Metaxas has a great thing going here. The way the book is arranged and the choices of exceptional Christian men make for inspired reading. He doesn’t make the chapters too log which is good in this set up. That way the reader can stay with each one as presented without getting distracted. I hope he does a third book.

Insightful

Even if one is familiar with some or all of the men featured, Eric makes each one more endearing! Very well done
