Great idea for a book!
In my experience, as a follower of Jesus Christ , it’s good practice to study the lives of notable Christians of times past and learn from them. This book had many Christians that I’ve heard about but also had plenty of ones I’ve never heard of before. Great book and the narrator had a wholesome and comfortable voice too.

Informative
Learned tons about people I was not aware of in church history. However, the time frame is quite particular (1800s). It seems like there was way too much emphasis on people from the 19th century. Nonetheless, enjoyed the learning and the primary resource suggestions in every chapter.

There was a lot of information here. A lot of the people I didn't even know. I was grateful to get to hear some life stories of men and women who love the LORD and were sold out for HIM.

Excellent survey of 50 People God raised up for Ministry
Warren does a good job of providing a concise but informative picture of each persons upbringing, spiritual moment, and acomplishments . James Lewis was a great choice for reading. My only disappointment is that not having the hard copy, I have to listen repeatedly to find the spot where Warren makes recommendation of which books to start reading by one of the 50. Quote tedious. Once case where hard copy is superior.

It was the most Informative book concerning the lives of 50 men Christian man and women that I’ve ever read one of them in particular was very special to me. It was so good it made me continue to listen almost to the end of all 50 chapters it should be read by everyone.

This would be better read than listened to
50 people is a lot of people to highlight in one book! Wiersbe has a wealth of resources to discover more about each person he highlights. To have the book would be more beneficial than just listening to the book. If you have the book than it can become a great resource guide to learn more about these men and women.

Interesting collection of people
I would recommend this, but not the audiobook. There is a number of other books called out, and other resources mentioned throughout the book that make it difficult to keep track of in an audiobook. This would probably be a better paperback to read, or Kindle book and be able to take notes on individual chapters of people that you would like to look into more.
