Rather disappointed

3.5 stars. I love this series but 15 hrs of whinny partners, the whole drawn out bitching from Dixie about Ted "cheating", trying to tell Becca, etc, was a bit too much. I think this could have been cut in half. I really enjoyed the mystery. Jean Claude did not have enough page time.

Amazingly written as always draws into a storyline that is brilliant. Wish I had all of those sexy characters.
deeper into Nathaniels past . heartbreaking. The smoothness of balancing Edward and Anita . Couldn't stop listen to the story until the end alexis is amazingly talented narrator

Let me start with .. I wish I bought the actual book and not the audio book. Kimberly Alexis was horrible! She sounded like an old documentary at school. If this wasn’t a Laurell K. Hamilton book I would have turn off the book!! Her portrayal of Nathaniel was so bad, he sounded more like a 10 year girl than anything! Even worse was how she portrayed Anita! Enough of that. I felt this book could have had more conflict with bad guys and more love scenes like we are use to. Saying all that I am NOT sorry I listened I finally was able to block out Alexis and just hear the book, which is just an amazing Anita Blake book!!! Can’t wait for next. But.. What about Meredith Gentry???

I absolutely LOVED this book!! The story sucked me in as soon as it started. Then kept me hooked till the end. There is WTF, then oh no!! to aaawwww, so sweet. You will not be disappointed in any shape form or fashion. Keep it up!!! I will never get tired of your stories.
