This is solid

I didn’t have high expectations. The book is short and cheap. I wanted to learn something about those indie published books and their world that I run into on Goodreads.

My question was ‘What is the deal?’ I have assumed all of this time that Amazon is taking advantage of prople’s hopes and dreams.

The author answers the question and provides information about the landscape of the Amazon publishing world.

BTW the author is promoting his paid service for helping authors to succeed on Amazon . So, well done.

...what am I doing? I’m looking for the manuscripts of the three novels that I finished and polished and that I only got two or three nibbles on over fifteen years ago...I’m only joking...but I’m not.

The author presents a plausible picture. Again, well done.

A real gem - on how to promote your book

Really nicely narrated with great tips and tricks on how to promote your book.
Like several non-fiction books, I'm glad I downloaded the ebook as well as the audiobook since it sometimes refers to tables and links that are best found in the ebook.
This is one of the few books on self-publishing I found to be up to date with recent changes made by Amazon, and as such out-shines any other books on the market which simply use methods that no longer work.
I look forward to more from the author.

More than expected.

This book went very in depth on the subject of self publishing. I haven't personally tried any of it yet, but everything the author talks about makes a lot of sense. This will be a book I go back to in the future.

Very informative

Not only has Richards book helped me as an author, he's personally helped me in my publishing business and his methods have dramatically increased my sales. His books are well worth your time and the few pence he's asking!

This was a great listening experience. Well narrated and so many great tips and tricks on how to get the best of Amazon to promote your books. I strongly recommend this to all other authors

Effective self-publishing marketing

If self-publishing is your choice, this is a good listen. Sure there are plenty of gurus out there and no disrespect to them, nor do I want to idolize Richard (he's clearly trying to sell his services), but I had fun listening to this book, gained insights along the way, and only in two hours. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Just what I was looking for

I have been wanting to write a book for a good while now but found the information online daunting and confusing. This book is exactly what I was looking for: easy to follow, well researched, with no fluff. Thank you.

pretty good

I liked the book. it gave sonegood ideas. Author promoted his own services, not a big deal but he did give other companies as well. Made me think about a book launch differently than I previously did. Overall worth it. It was a short book and I kind of expected more, but it was still worth the money.

Great information

My wife and I are both authors, and have followed McCartney's blogs and advice for several years now. There are many books and courses making guarantees about self-publishing, but none do it quite like McCartney. Great information about how Amazon really promotes books and how to take advantage of it. It’s great to see the book make it to an audio version too. I was given a complimentary copy in return for an honest review.
