About this listen

This is a visionary/experimental novella about a young, beautiful woman, murdered and buried nearby in the same ditch as an old homeless man who was beaten and kicked down the hill on the fringe of a park, left for dead, just out of sight.

The spirit of the old homeless man speaks to her and tries to guide her into the afterlife, explaining to her what happened, and what she must do to let go of the life she had tragically taken from her, with memories of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences that he had lost as well, and brief, raging comments from the escaped murderer.

Heart pounding, and Thought Provoking!

This quick listen was an abstract, poetic look into the heartbreaking and confusing thoughts of two souls who lost their lives too soon and so tragically. It was hard to follow at times but made my heart race as I felt their anguish. Rodney Falcon's narration was haunting and captivating. If you enjoy experimental, thought provoking stories, you will enjoy this listen.

Perfect audio when looking for something short

This is the first time listening to anything from the author and narrator and I was not disappointed! This was perfect for me to listen to while I was on my lunch break. It was short, but not rushed, and kept my interest.

Riveting & Thought Provoking! Great Listen🎧

Another original and interesting story by Austen Szott, he is creative with his words and imagination. An old homeless man is beaten and left for dead in a ditch on the outskirts of the park. The following day another body victim is left in the same ditch, a recently murdered woman. The old guy starts conversing with the woman, soul to soul. His conversations are like rants, some are short bursts with visions and thoughts with descriptive details sometimes sounding brilliant others like they are coming from the mind of a madman. This is a short novella, intense and a bit bizarre, different than any other but it sure does make you think and wonder.

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Rodney Falcom. He is a wonderful storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another great & entertaining listen🎧

Novella

Schedule 1, Anaeveris by Austen Szott is a visionary/experimental novella about a women murdered and buried nearby an old homeless man who was beaten and left for dead. I listened to this book on audio narrated by Rodney Falcon. Rodney Falcon did an amazing job. The story was definitely outside my usual reading genre but I received a free copy of the audiobook from Rodney and wanted to give it a try. I would highly recommend listening to this book while not doing anything else so you can follow the story. I had to keep rewinding because I would miss something while working and listening to it.

Rodney falcon

Rodney ‘s voice is the best and only notable part of this confusing story of 2 murder victims... too much comparison analogies, not enough substance makes this difficult to follow.. I will not honey hesitate on a book with him as a narrator, and look forward to another book of his.
I did receive this book as a promo, without a solicitation of review, but this is my honest opinion...

Too Deep

The story was not my usual listen and a bit confusing not my cup of tea but the narration was good for the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thanks

What?

I still have a few minutes left to listen, but I had to pull the description back up. For the simple fact, I'm not really sure what I'm listening to. Is this a murder? Is this sex? It's too intimate and could go either way. It's artistic to say the least. It's not poetry in the traditional sense, but poetic all the same. Murder/ sex, both so close on the same spectrum. Then whats after? What's after death? About the same that come s after sex. I'm not sure if I'm impressed or confused. Maybe both. Kudos to the author. I'm still scratching my head, wondering why I enjoyed this so much.

I had died, unknowing who killed me& left me manic

Definitely , an intense published work, that has such witty scene creation, mixed with the narrarator doing his best to fit a new style into his abilities, was great...one of my favorites from Austen Szott' s purely unique line of inspirations
