Outstanding

This is the best look into the 40k universe that you are going to find. All these books are have to feel of Saving Private Ryan in the grim dark future. I love the series and really hope they adapt ever novel on the series.

A change for the worse

Missing 2 books right now, and the New narrator does voices for old characters that are what I could kindly describe as disruptively immersion breaking, it’s almost vindictive in larkin’s case, and Merin (guy with the jaw) the new narrator’s stuttering voice is honestly offensive. Who listened to this at black library and audible? Have they ever heard one by the old narrator? Has the new narrator? How did old man Larkin become a 3 foot tall goblin? Where is Toby?

Good story poor choice of narrator

James mcphearson is an excellent narrator , however was a terrible choice for this book , he doesn’t come across correctly and makes many of the characters sound off , such as the space marines sounding like palpatine , also most of the series so far has been narrated by Tony longsworth who grasps the mood much better

Changing narrators ruins the continuity!

Dan Abnett penned another great story! Sadly, the new narrator is not a good fit for this series. Change narrators ruins the continuity. Please, bring back Toby Longsworth.

Not Toby be patient

we are so used to Gaunts read by Mr Longworth all this time I feel like you should have done more matching voices. Last I knew Larkins not a grot.

This voice actor sucks

Did this voice actor even consider the tone of the setting or the dozen or so books preceding this one? Why do the Tanith sound like they’re all at a pride garden party instead of hardened veterans of grimdark conflict that has stripped them of their home planet? Couldn’t come close to finishing it.

James McPherson voice is cringe

He narrates as if he’s telling a children’s story. Lazy dialogue and comical voice impressions of characters. I hate it bc i love this series so much. This is almost unbearable. I’m suffering thru it to hopefully get to next book not narrated by him. Give me Toby !

Dan Abnetts Work

Gaunts Ghosts is a great piece of work, I've loved the journey. Couldn't recommend this series more. However, the narrator needs to write an apology letter to every person who has listened to him butcher the characters. It's like he didn't even try, he didn't research or listen to any of the other books in this series. Some of the voices he used made me sick to my stomach, and he took any authority and charisma from Gaunt's voice. He's a commissary for feth sake, in this he sounds like a weiner.

Gaunt’s Ghosts with a twist

The narrator isn’t Toby Longworth. He did ok, but it just isn’t the same. Different voices, different pronunciations, and the Scottish accent really threw me off.

Other than that, the first half of the book was fairly slow but the second half was non-stop action.
